The charging unit includes a shaft which applies a charging voltage and which has a central axis parallel to a rotating axis of the photoconductive body, a tubular member of a conductive material which surrounds the shaft, a current carrying member which applies an electric current to the shaft and the tubular member, and a damping member which is disposed between the shaft and the current carrying member. The shaft has a middle portion which is thicker than opposite end portions in a longitudinal direction along the central axis.

The toner supply roller includes a polyurethane foam, and a metal shaft inserted in the polyurethane foam along an axis thereof, wherein the polyurethane foam includes an ion-conductive agent and a binder, and the binder includes a resin having an amide bond. Accordingly, the toner supply roller including polyurethane foam provides an improved toner supply and prevents image defects.

    摘要: An actuator used with an optical pickup includes: a base on which a holder is fixed; a lens holder in which a plurality of installation holes are formed such that a plurality of objective lenses to record and/or reproduce optical discs having different recording densities are installed at different heights; a support member, which movably supports the lens holder, having one end coupled to the lens holder and the other end coupled to the holder; and a magnetic circuit which drives the lens holder in focusing and tracking directions. The plurality of installation holes include a first installation hole in which a first objective lens for at least one type of low density optical disc is installed, and a second installation hole in which a second objective lens for a higher density optical disc than the low density optical disc is installed. When a working distance of the first objective lens for the low density optical disc installed in the first installation hole is represented as WD1, and a working distance of the second objective lens for the high density optical disc installed in the second installation hole is represented as WD2, the first and second installation holes are provided so that the first and second objective lenses are installed to satisfy the Equation: WD1≧WD2, a separation distance between the optical disc and the second objective lens=WD2+αwhere, α=|WD1−WD2|×(0.1˜1.0). The second installation hole is located in a more outer circumference of the optical disc than the first installation hole.

    摘要: An actuator for an optical pickup having a base on which a holder is fixed, a bobbin, a support member, and a magnetic circuit. Pluralities of installation holes are formed in the bobbin such that a plurality of objective lenses to record and/or reproduce optical discs having different recording densities are installed at different heights. The support member has one end coupled to the bobbin and the other end coupled to the holder movably supports the bobbin. The magnetic circuit drives the bobbin in focusing and tracking directions. The magnetic circuit is divided into a first magnetic circuit to drive the objective lenses in the focusing direction, and a second magnetic circuit to drive the objective lenses in the tracking direction, thereby reducing the weight of a moving portion.

    摘要: An optical pickup assembly having an elastically supported tilt mechanism. The optical pickup assembly includes a bobbin at which an objective lens is mounted and an elastic support member which supports the bobbin in elastic motion with respect to a holder installed at a base. A focus coil and a tracking coil are installed at the bobbin and form a conducting path for driving the objective lens in a focusing direction and a tracking direction. Tilt coils are installed at one side of the bobbin and form a conductive path for driving tilt of the objective lens. A first magnet and a first yoke generate an electromagnetic force to driving the objective lens together with the current carrying focus coil and tracking coil. A second magnet and a second yoke generate an electromagnetic force to driving the objective lens together with the current carrying tilt coils. A position detecting sensor measures relative inclination of the objective lens with respect to a disk, and a balance member coupled to the bobbin to balance the weight of the tilt coils by applying weight corresponding to the weight of the tilt coils at positions symmetrically opposite to the positions of the tilt coils.
