    摘要: An optical pickup assembly having an elastically supported tilt mechanism. The optical pickup assembly includes a bobbin at which an objective lens is mounted and an elastic support member which supports the bobbin in elastic motion with respect to a holder installed at a base. A focus coil and a tracking coil are installed at the bobbin and form a conducting path for driving the objective lens in a focusing direction and a tracking direction. Tilt coils are installed at one side of the bobbin and form a conductive path for driving tilt of the objective lens. A first magnet and a first yoke generate an electromagnetic force to driving the objective lens together with the current carrying focus coil and tracking coil. A second magnet and a second yoke generate an electromagnetic force to driving the objective lens together with the current carrying tilt coils. A position detecting sensor measures relative inclination of the objective lens with respect to a disk, and a balance member coupled to the bobbin to balance the weight of the tilt coils by applying weight corresponding to the weight of the tilt coils at positions symmetrically opposite to the positions of the tilt coils.

    摘要: An optical pickup device includes a light source for generating and emitting light, optical path changing means for changing a proceeding path of incident light, an objective lens for focusing incident light on a recording medium which has a recording surface where information is recorded and a protection layer, at the side where light is input, for protecting the recording surface, a main photodetector for detecting the information signal and/or an error signal by receiving the light reflected by the recording surface of the recording medium and passing through the objective lens and the optical path changing means, and an inclination detecting unit for detecting inclination of the recording medium by receiving the light emitted from the light source and reflected by the surface of the protection layer or the recording surface of the recording medium. Thus, since the inclination of the recording medium is detected using the light emitted from the light source and reflected by the surface of the protection layer or the recording surface of the recording medium, without an additional tilt sensor, the number of parts is reduced and the structure of the device is simplified.

    摘要: An optical pickup apparatus for recording and reproducing information, which is manufactured to be extremely small in a hybrid type. The optical pickup apparatus includes a first holographic optical element as a beam expander for diffracting to enlarge a diverging angle of an incident beam emitted from a light source and a second holographic optical element as an object lens for diffracting the incident beam whose diverging angle is enlarged by the first holographic optical element to focus the incident beam on an optical disk. Here, the first holographic optical element has a function of a beam splitter for diffracting a reflected beam to be separated as well as a function of a beam expander. The optical pickup apparatus is manufactured to be extremely small and ultralight due to its short optical path. Therefore, the optical pickup apparatus is influential on the miniaturization of various optical information processing systems, and contributes to a stable operation and a high speed search due to its excellent optical performance.

    摘要: An actuator used with an optical pickup includes: a base on which a holder is fixed; a lens holder in which a plurality of installation holes are formed such that a plurality of objective lenses to record and/or reproduce optical discs having different recording densities are installed at different heights; a support member, which movably supports the lens holder, having one end coupled to the lens holder and the other end coupled to the holder; and a magnetic circuit which drives the lens holder in focusing and tracking directions. The plurality of installation holes include a first installation hole in which a first objective lens for at least one type of low density optical disc is installed, and a second installation hole in which a second objective lens for a higher density optical disc than the low density optical disc is installed. When a working distance of the first objective lens for the low density optical disc installed in the first installation hole is represented as WD1, and a working distance of the second objective lens for the high density optical disc installed in the second installation hole is represented as WD2, the first and second installation holes are provided so that the first and second objective lenses are installed to satisfy the Equation: WD1≧WD2, a separation distance between the optical disc and the second objective lens=WD2+α where, α=|WD1−WD2|×(0.1˜1.0). The second installation hole is located in a more outer circumference of the optical disc than the first installation hole.

    摘要: A micro actuator for moving a head device in a track direction of a recording medium by a magnetic force generated between the magnetic cores. In normal use, the micro actuator is mounted on an actuator arm which pivots in a track direction across a track of the recording medium. The slider moves above the recording medium and has an accommodating portion facing the recording medium. A first magnetic core is arranged to move in the accommodating portion, for supporting the head device. A second magnetic core, separated a predetermined distance from and facing the first magnetic core, is installed in the accommodating portion such that the center of the first magnetic core in a magnetic direction, which is perpendicular to the track direction and horizontal with respect to the surface of the recording medium, is offset from the center of the first magnetic core. A first magnetic coil is wound around the first magnetic core so that the axis of the first magnetic coil runs in the vertical direction and a magnetic force in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the recording medium is generated when current is applied. Leaf springs elastically connects the first magnetic core and the inner side of the accommodating portion in the track direction. When current is applied to the first magnetic coil, the first magnetic core is moved in the track direction by a magnetic force generated between the magnetic cores.
