摘要: A photorefractive device (100) and methods of its manufacture are disclosed. The photorefractive device (100) comprises one or more transparent electrode layers (104), one or more sol-gel buffer layers (113), one or more polymer buffer layers (105), and a photorefractive layer (106). The one or more sol-gel buffer layer (113) is interposed between the one or more polymer buffer layer (105) and the one or more transparent electrode layer (104). When a bias voltage is applied to the device (100), the device (100) exhibits improvement in electric breakdown strength compared to a similar device without the one or more dielectric sol-gel buffer layers (113). The device (100) can operate at high bias levels with quick rising and decay times and shows higher grating performance under single nanosecond pulse recording conditions.

摘要: This invention is related to novel perylene diester derivatives represented by the general formula (I) or general formula (II) as described herein. The derivatives are useful in various applications, such as luminescent dyes for optical light collection systems, fluorescence-based solar collectors, fluorescence-activated displays, and/or single-molecule spectroscopy. The invention also relates to a luminescent medium, such as a luminescent film, that can significantly enhance the solar harvesting efficiency of thin film CdS/CdTe or CIGS solar cells. The luminescent medium comprises an optically transparent polymer matrix and at least one luminescent dye that comprises a perylene diester derivative. Over 16% of an efficiency enhancement to a CdS/CdTe solar cell and over 12% of an efficiency enhancement to a CIGS solar cell can be achieved.

摘要: A cap assembly with desirable safety performance for use in lithium ion batteries, includes an insulating gasket defining a through hole therein, a rupture plate positioned in the through hole, a vent plate defining an air hole electrically connected with the rupture plate, a current interrupt device disposed on the rupture plate, and an end cap defining an air exhaust hole assembled on the current interrupt device. The current interrupt device has an upper conductive plate electrically connected with the end cap, a lower conductive plate electrically connected with the rupture plate, and a fuse electrically connecting the upper conductive plate and the lower conductive plate. When the current intensity in the lithium ion battery exceeds a predetermined value, the fuse melts to cut off the current path.

摘要: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first casing, a second casing, and at least one latching assembly. The second casing defines a through hole. Each latching assembly includes an operating member, a latching block, and at least one positioning member. The operating member includes a first plate and a second plate secured to the first plate. The first plate extends through the through hole, the second plate is external to the through hole. The latching block protrudes from the first casing. When the second plate is driven to move from the first position to the second position, the first plate engages the latching block and the positioning member to secure the second casing to the first casing. When the second casing is driven to move from the second position to the first position, the first plate disengages from the latching block and the positioning member.

摘要: A method and system for co-registration of angiography data and intra vascular ultrasound (IVUS) data is disclosed. A vessel branch is detected in an angiogram image. A sequence of IVUS images is received from an IVUS transducer while the IVUS transducer is being pulled back through the vessel branch. A fluoroscopic image sequence is received while the IVUS transducer is being pulled back through the vessel branch. The IVUS transducer and a guiding catheter tip are detected in each frame of the fluoroscopic image sequence. The IVUS transducer detected in each frame of the fluoroscopic image sequence is mapped to a respective location in the detected vessel branch of the angiogram image. Each of the IVUS images is registered to a respective location in the detected vessel branch of the angiogram image based on the mapped location of the IVUS transducer detected in a corresponding frame of the fluoroscopic image sequence.

摘要: The present invention relates to electrolytes comprising tetracyanoborate and an organic cation as components of electrolytes in electrochemical and/or optoelectronic devices, in particular solar cells. This ionic liquid has low viscosity and can be used as electrolyte in the absence of a solvent. Importantly, the ionic liquid remains stable in solar cells even after prolonged thermal stress at 80° C. for 1000 hours. Photovoltaic conversion efficiency remained stable and keeping more than 90% of the initial value.
