    摘要: The present invention relates to a processing arrangement that includes a processing section and a scanning section. The scanning section includes a scanner that is adapted to scan processed photographic film. The scanning section also includes a plate member with a guide slot therein and a plurality of film holding casings movably located in the guide slot. The film holding casing are adapted to receive the processed dried film from the processing section and queue the processed dried film for scanning in the scanner. With the arrangement of the present invention, it is possible to collect and queue multiple films to be scanned.

The outside load drum processor includes a circular member that includes a first wall, a second wall and a side-wall that connects the first wall to the second wall and extends around a perimeter of the circular member. A flexible shield member is wrapped around an outer surface of the side-wall so that a processing path for photographic material to be processed is defined between at least the outer surface of the side-wall and the inner surface of the flexible shield member. The circular drum member is rotated for processing of photographic film within the processing path.

    摘要: A drying apparatus and method utilizes radiant heat and forced air to provide for rapid drying of photosensitive material without emulsion side contact. The forced air is supplied through air passages formed between cover members that partially surround radiant heating bars, and is directed onto the photosensitive material where it impinges upon the photosensitive material. As the air passes through the air passages, it is heated by radiant heat from the heating bars. The heated air increases the drying effect of the drying apparatus and at the same time, impinges on the photosensitive material in a manner which assists in holding the photosensitive material firmly against, for example, drive rollers.

    摘要: An electrophotographic color proof generating apparatus includes a charger station, an exposure station, a toning station, and a dryer station. A system electronically controls and monitors the quality of the proofs being generated by the electrophotographic process. The process parameters of electrostatic voltage and transmission density are sensed from test patches, sometimes referred to as control patches. The parameters are monitored by the control electronics used to regulate imaging subassemblies and to track film and toner characteristics to provide optimum image density on the photoconductor. It is the purpose of the process control algorithm that resides in the control electronics to control the proofing process to achieve the desired aim transmission density on the photoconductor. The slope of the Density/Delta-V curve and the density (DMAXNET) are used to predict the working delta-V aim which governs toning control. Any deviation from that density causes the control electronics to adjust the charger grid voltage and the toner electrode bias to bring the test patch back to the required aim density. The voltage read by a first electrometer is an indication of charging efficiency and when compared to the voltage read by a second electrometer, the voltage decay rate may be determined. These electronic voltage readings are used to determine film characteristics of speed and minimum exposure voltage.
