Abstract:
A CHN comprises NAS memory capable of storing data received from a host terminal, and a transfer destination decision circuit. When an access request is received from the host terminal, if the access request is a data access request entailing data transfer performed between the host terminal and a cache area, and if a cache address associated with a file system address included in the data access request is identified, the transfer destination decision circuit transfers the data for reading in the cache area indicated by the cache address directly to the host terminal without passing through the NAS memory, or transfers data for writing included in the access request to the cache area without passing through the NAS memory.
Abstract:
The network facsimile apparatus is able to communicate using both a public switched telephone network and a computer network, and has a facsimile section which transmits and receives an image via the public switched telephone network, a mail section which transmits and receives an e-mail via the computer network, a web server which transmits a reply to a client in response to a request from the client that is connected to said network apparatus via said computer network, a storage which is to store received, and a list generating section which generates a structured document of reception list. When the web server receives an operation request concerning a reception list from a client, the web server provides the received operation request to the list generating section.
Abstract:
A first storage control system comprises a CHN connected to a LAN CN. The CHN comprises a NAS processor and I/O processor. The I/O processor judges whether all or a portion of block level data is to be stored in either a first storage control system or a second storage control system, on the basis of an I/O allocation control data which indicates which of either the first storage control system or the second storage control system the block level data is to be stored in. On the basis of the result of this judgment, the I/O processor transfers the block level data from the NAS processor, to at least one of the DKA and the CHF connected to the second storage control system.

Abstract:
A sheet discharging apparatus including a sheet discharging device which discharges a sheet on a sheet discharging tray. A sheet tip portion guide device holds thereupon a tip portion of the sheet discharged from the sheet discharging device, guides the sheet in a sheet discharging direction while holding the tip portion of the sheet thereupon, and releases the sheet by releasing the tip portion of the sheet held thereupon.

Abstract:
A cleaning sheet comprises a sheet-shaped base and an adhesive layer formed on at least one surface of the sheet-shaped base member. The adhesive layer has an adhesive strength in the range of 0.1-0.5 gf 125 mm according to a 180-degree peel-off method provided by JIS Z-0237. Or the adhesive layer has a tackiness degree in the range of 1-5 according to a J DOW method provided by JIS Z-0237.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording medium is disclosed, comprising a base having provided on one side thereof a recording layer having an ink receiving layer whose surface is smoother than plain paper's and on the other side thereof a coating layer comprising an aqueous binder containing 10 to 40% by weight of a higher fatty acid salt to a coating weight of 0.1 to 0.3 g/m.sup.2. An ink jet recording medium is also disclosed, comprising a base having provided on only one side thereof a recording layer, said recording layer having a coefficient of dynamic friction of 0.65 to 0.75 in mutual friction, the back surface of said base having a coefficient of dynamic friction of 0.15 to 0.25 in mutual friction, and the coefficient of static friction between said recording layer and said back surface is 0.55 to 0.65. The ink jet recording medium is prevented from being double-fed and can be transferred at improved precision, thereby providing high quality images. The ink jet recording layer is freed from feed trouble and can be transferred at improved precision, thereby providing images of high resolving power.

Abstract:
An ink jet recording method includes the steps of: (a) holding a sheet-like recording medium having a glossy surface in which the 60-degree mirror glossiness defined in JIS Z8741 is 60% or more between a driving roller disposed on a back surface side of the sheet-like recording medium and a notched roller having a thickness in a range of 0.05 to 0.5 mm, and pressing the glossy surface with a pressing force in a range of 5 to 30 g against the driving roller; (b) carrying the sheet-like recording medium; and (c) ejecting ink onto the glossy surface so that an image is recorded by dots of the ink on the glossy surface.
Abstract:
A disk subsystem and a data restoration method with which the rise time when the disk subsystem is restored can be shortened.A disk subsystem and data restoration method whereby, when the power of the disk subsystem is shut off, the shared memory management table is saved to non-volatile memory together with the cache data and, when the power of the disk subsystem is restored, the shared memory management table is referenced and the duplex data is assigned by two non-volatile memories and restored to each of two shared memories.
