摘要: An abnormality diagnosis apparatus for an evaporative emission control system which includes a fuel tank, a canister for adsorbing evaporative fuel generated in the fuel tank, an evaporative fuel passage connecting the fuel tank and an intake system, a first control valve interposed in a charging passage, a second control valve interposed in a purge passage, a third control valve interposed in a vent passage, and a fourth control valve interposed in the evaporative fuel passage for opening and closing the evaporative fuel passage. An abnormality of the evaporative emission control system is diagnosed based on a detected pressure in the fuel tank. During the abnormality diagnosis, the fourth control valve is controlled to be maintained in a closed state, and the abnormality diagnosis is performed by changing an open or closed state of at least one of the first, second and third control valves without opening the first and third control valves simultaneously.

摘要: An arrangement for treating flora and fauna waste such as garbage under subcritical pressure and temperature. A slurry preparation unit (10) mixes the flora and fauna waste (11) with water (12) and sodium hydroxide (13) to prepare a slurry. A diaphragm pump (16) then pressurizes the slurry to subcritical pressure of water (20 Mpa). Subsequently, a hydrothermal reaction tube (25) heats the pressurized slurry to cause hydrothermal reaction in a subcritical condition thereby obtaining dissolved waste. The dissolved waste is depressurized and fed to an oxidization unit (22) for oxidation.

摘要: When a plurality of pages of image data are combined into one page of image data for transmission, the direct combination of the image data having different resolutions and the resulting recording of the image data on one record sheet while the image is partially expanded or reduced are prevented. In combining two pages of image data into one page of image data for transmission within a range in which the number of read lines of read image data does not exceed the number of available lines for recording per page at a transmission destination terminal, if the read resolutions of both image data are equal, the two pages of image data are combined into one page of image data for transmission, and if the read resolutions are different, the combination is not conducted and the image data of the respective pages are transmitted as the independent pages of image data. A facsimile apparatus minimizes the possibility of transmission disable due to a full state of a memory when a plurality of pages of image data having short sub-scan lengths stored in the memory are transmitted. The image data acquired by reading a document sheet by a contact sensor 13 is compression-coded by an encoder 103 of a read/write codec device 10 and it is stored in an image memory 6. After a plurality of pages of image data having short sub-scan lengths have been stored in the image memory 6, the image data are combined into one page of image data on a communication protocol and it is transmitted to a transmission destination apparatus through a modem 17 and a network control unit 18. When it is detected that a remaining capacity of the image memory 6 is small, the combination transmission of the image data is canceled and the image data stored in the image memory 6 is immediately read and transmitted.

摘要: A component attaching hole 5 is opened in the tank main body 1 constructed by laminating an inner shell 3 and an outer shell 4 via a fuel permeation preventing layer 2, and the auxiliary component 6 is welded to the external surface of the tank main body 1 in such a manner as to cover the component attaching hole 5. The component attaching hole is formed so as to be tapered in such a manner that the component attaching hole gets wider toward the external surface of the tank main body 1, and a boss portion 9 is formed on the auxiliary component 6 which is tapered so as to fit in the component attaching hole 5, whereby a fuel permeation preventing layer 8 laminated on the internal surface of the auxiliary component 6 is made to extend over the external surface of the boss portion 9. When the tank main body 1 and the auxiliary component 6 are welded together, the fuel permeation preventing layer 8 on the external surface of the boss portion 9 is tightly joined to the fuel permeation preventing layer 2 exposed at the component attaching hole 5.

摘要: A server system that is connected to one or more networks, e.g., the Internet, corporate or government intranets, extranets, etc. The server has one or more application files or configuration sets that the server serves to from one or more kiosks on the network. The configuration sets are application specific. (An application is a use for which the kiosks are configured or reconfigured.) One or more of the files in the configuration sets include one or more embedded (control) programs that are used to control the local APIs of one or more of the devices on the kiosk. In this way, the devices are controlled to configure the kiosk to perform the application.

摘要: A branch junction box assembly containing a busbar and a flexible printed substrate. The busbar has a contact section extending therefrom and, similarly, the substrate has a contact portion extending therefrom. Connection between the two is made by inserting a connector into a connector holder in a position whereby the connector makes contact with both the contact section and the contact portion, thereby completing the circuit. It is preferable that the contact portion and contact section, as well as the terminals in the connector be parallel to each other and to the insertion direction of the connector into the connector holder. This provides a simple construction, minimizes the number of parts, and enables easy and smooth assembly.

摘要: In a data communication apparatus, when performing a calling operation, an image transmission speed is assigned using a CCITT nonstandard reception command NSS after transmitting a dial signal, and the NSS is repeatedly transmitted at a predetermined time interval. Upon reception of a reception-preparation-confirming signal transmitted from an apparatus of a communication partner, a command, an identification signal and image data are transmitted at the image transmission speed based on information relating to the communication partner's apparatus which has been stored, so that the time required for communication procedures is shortened.
