摘要: A method and apparatus for accessing information in a wireless network is provided by determining whether a wireless connection from a mobile platform to a server is a phone call or a telematics call, selecting one of a phone call filter and a telematics filter based on the wireless connection determination, and filtering a voice signal for the wireless connection with the selected filter. The method and apparatus provides techniques for adapting a noise cancellation ratio to different types of wireless connections, including a hands-free phone mode and a telematics mode.

摘要: In a power-supply unit for a microwave tube, voltage between a helix power supply terminal and a cathode power supply terminal is divided into voltage slightly lower than the voltage of a collector power supply terminal. Uni-directional conductive means is provided between a voltage dividing point and the collector power supply terminal, and when the voltage of the collector power supply terminal is about to be lower than voltage at the voltage dividing point while the voltage approximates the voltage of the cathode power supply terminal, the uni-directional conductive means conducts and clamps the voltage of the collector power supply terminal so that the voltage is substantially equal to the voltage at the voltage dividing point.

摘要: A compact, low power consumption, light weight, highly reliable and high speed information processing system is provided by employing a semiconductor auxiliary storage device in lieu of conventional magnetic storage or memory elements, such as floppy or hard disks. An access request to such a magnetic storage or memory element is converted to an access request for the semiconductor auxiliary storage which uses semiconductor integrated circuits without requiring any modification of existing programs, such as, application software and disk operating systems. A memory circuit in the semiconductor auxiliary storage comprises ROM and RAM, and a portion of the ROM contents is copied into the RAM so that access modification for programs and data is permitted while the basic program and data is retained in a nonvolatile manner.

摘要: A guide wire includes an elongated wire body and a radiopaque part capable of forming an X-ray image and located at the distal end portion of the wire body. The radiopaque part has a radiopaque member and a resin coating layer. The radiopaque member is composed of a metallic material capable of forming an X-ray image and arranged outside the wire body and in the lengthwise direction of the wire body. The resin coating layer covers the radiopaque member and at least part of coating layer contains a radiopaque material capable of forming an X-ray image. The radiopaque part is divided into a first radiopaque region, a second radiopaque region, and a third radiopaque region which are sequentially arranged from the distal end in the lengthwise direction of the wire body.

摘要: In one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates, an active area to display an image, a seal material surrounding the active area, and an intermediate area between the active area and the seal area. In the intermediate area, first and second color filters are formed on the second substrate. An overcoat layer is laminated on the first and second color filters. First and second pillar-shaped spacers are provided between the overcoat layer and the first substrate corresponding to the first and second color filters to form a first and second cell gaps between the first and second substrates, respectively. The first cell gap adjacent to the active area between the first and second substrates is smaller than the second cell gap adjacent to the seal area in the intermediate area.
