    摘要: In an image sensor having a plurality of pixels which photoelectrically convert a subject image, a plurality of pairs of focus detection pixels including first focus detection pixels (SHA) and second focus detection pixels (SHB) are arranged while being distributed. The layouts of the first focus detection pixel (SHA) and the second focus detection pixel (SHB) are switched in pairs of focus detection pixels adjacent in the focus detection direction. Focus detection is performed using image waveforms obtained from the first focus detection pixel (SHA) and the second focus detection pixel (SHB) whose layouts are switched. This reduces focus detection errors generated when the pixels included in the pairs of focus detection pixels receive light fluxes from different portions of the subject.

Each of the first imaging pixel and the second imaging pixel comprises a plurality of photoelectric conversion units segmented in a first direction, the plurality of photoelectric conversion units have an ability of photoelectrically converting images formed by split light beams out of a light beam from the photographing optical system and outputting focus detection signals to be used to detect a phase difference. A base-line length of photoelectric conversion units to be used to detect the phase difference included in the first imaging pixel is longer than that of photoelectric conversion units to be used to detect the phase difference included in the second imaging pixel.

The photoelectric conversion portions comprising the first pixel and the second pixel have a function of photoelectrically converting a plurality of images formed by divided light fluxes of a light flux from an imaging optical system and outputting a focus detection signal for phase difference detection.     摘要: In a conventional power MOSFET, an electric field concentration occurs at a gate electrode bottom portion on the outermost periphery of an operating area, thereby causing a deterioration in high voltage strength between the drain and the source, or between the collector and emitter. In this invention, a trench at the outermost periphery of an operating area is shallower than trenches of the operating area. Thereby, the electric field concentration at the gate electrode bottom portion on the outermost periphery of the operating area is relieved, and a deterioration in high voltage strength between the drain and source is suppressed. Furthermore, by narrowing the outermost peripheral trench aperture portion, trenches different in depth can be formed by an identical step.
