Abstract:
An apparatus for sludge thickening including a sludge thickener allowing suspended solids of sludge supplied thereto to settle by their own weight while being thickened. The sludge supplied to the sludge thickener is subjected to aeration for a predetermined period of time in a sludge aerator. Aeration of the sludge strips the anaerobic gas, which is attached to the suspended solids in the form of bubbles or dissolved in the sludge, to atmosphere. By aeration of the sludge before being fed to the sludge thickener, floating of the thickened sludge in the thickener can be avoided.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an illumination control system includes a motion sensor and a central management server. The motion sensor acquires position information and action information of a person. The central management server holds holding position information of an illumination unit and necessary light amount information for action information of the person, acquires a necessary amount of light corresponding to the action information of the person based on the necessary light amount information, calculates a brightness control amount based on the position information of the illumination unit, and controls the illumination unit using the brightness control amount.
Abstract:
Provided is a syrup extracted from red shiso and having a clear red color. The method of obtaining this involves: (1) draining water after blanching raw red shiso; (2) extracting, with water, the blanched red shiso while applying heat; and (3) adding an acid to the extract of the red shiso.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a behavior detection apparatus includes an image acquisition unit, a characteristic acquisition unit, a behavior identification unit, and a detection unit. The image acquisition unit is configured to acquire the image data about an object to detect. The characteristic acquisition unit is configured to acquire characteristic data about the object, from the image data. The behavior identification unit is configured to identify the behavior of the object on the basis of the characteristic data. The detection unit is configured to compare the behavior identified by the behavior identification unit with the scheduled behavioral data representing the behavior the object is supposed to exhibit, thereby to detect abnormal behavior by the object.
Abstract:
The colorimetric values of a plurality of reference color patches formed on a specific medium are measured at a plurality of temperatures, and a temperature characteristic LUT in a colorimetric value temperature correction unit is created based on the colorimetric values. Upon creating a calibration LUT, a patch based on arbitrary device values is formed on the medium, and a patch temperature and colorimetric values are acquired immediately after fixing of that patch. A correction target temperature as a temperature upon observation of the medium is, for example, fixed, the colorimetric values are corrected by interpolation processing based on the temperature characteristic LUT to obtain colorimetric values, and a calibration LUT is created based on the colorimetric values.
Abstract:
There is provided a suspicious behavior detection system capable of specifying and identifying a suspicious person exhibiting abnormal behavior. A suspicious behavior detection system is a system to detect suspicious behavior of a monitored subject, by using images captured by a stereo camera. The suspicious behavior detection system has an ambulatory path acquisition unit which acquires ambulatory path information of the monitored subject, and a behavioral identification unit which identifies behavior of the monitored subject based on the ambulatory path information, and automatically determines suspicious behavior of the monitored subject.
Abstract:
The present invention provides dark opal basil leaves or an extract thereof, containing anthocyanin dye derived from the dark opal basil, in concentrated form. The process of the present invention comprises steps of (1) adding salt to dark opal basil leaves, (2) dehydrating the dark opal basil leaves obtained in step (1), and (3) immersing the dark opal basil leaves obtained in step (2) in an organic acid solution. In step (2), the dark opal basil leaves to be dehydrated are physically treated to such an extent that the cells thereof are broken or not broken.
Abstract:
A web containing comprising side-by-side or eccentric core/shell conjugate short fibers A, which contain two kinds of polyester different from each other in intrinsic viscosity, and elastic conjugate fibers B, which contain a thermoplastic elastomer having a melting point lower by 40° C. or more than the two kinds of polyester, and a nonelastic polyester, with at least the thermoplastic elastomer being exposed on a surface of the fibers, is subjected to a heat treatment at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic elastomer, so as to obtain a polyester elastic fiber structure, and then polyester woven or knitted fabrics are laminated adhered on both surfaces of the polyester elastic fiber structure with a polyester adhesive, followed by heat molding into a curved shape by a molding process depending on necessity, so as to obtain a composite fiber structure.
Abstract:
A volume management system is provided which includes a storage device having plural logic areas, a computer which requests processes to the storage device, and a management server which communicates with the storage device and the computer. The management server includes a memory and a processor, the memory stores an area level indicative of released or unreleased, a priority level indicative of a priority for establishing a redundancy, a use status indicative of used or unused, and a state indicative of presence or absence of redundancies, for each of the logic areas of the storage device. When there is a logic area whose capacity is insufficient among the logic areas of the storage, the processor of the management server determines availability of released logic areas among the other logic areas of the storage device by referring to the area levels in the memory, when there are the released logic areas, the processor allocates capacities of the released logic areas to the logic area whose capacity is insufficient, when there are not enough capacities of the released logic areas, the processor determines availability of other unused logic areas by referring to the use statuses in the memory, when there are the other unused logic areas, the processor allocates unused capacities of each logic area to the logic area whose capacity is insufficient, and when there are not enough unused capacities of each logic area, the processor specifies other logic areas whose priority levels are below a predetermined upper-limit level of the priority level, releases redundancies of the other logic areas whose priority levels are below the predetermined upper-limit level of the priority level, and allocates released capacities of the other logic areas whose priority levels are below the predetermined upper-limit level of the priority level, to the logic area whose capacity is insufficient.
Abstract:
In the prior art, a CSY manufacturing apparatus and a CFY manufacturing apparatus are exclusive to each other and thus have poor general purpose properties. The present invention provides a core yarn manufacturing apparatus including a draft device 100 that drafts sheath fibers 9 of a core yarn and a core fiber supply device 1 that supplies core fibers of the core yarn, wherein the core fiber supply device 1 is configured so that a feed-out path of the core fibers in the core fiber supply device 1 is inclined above the draft device 100 in such a manner that a front of the feed-out path is lower than a rear of the feed-out path with respect to a front surface of a machine frame, and wherein a CSY wind-out device 2 and a CFY yarn guide 12 are provided in a rear upper part of a base frame 10 of the core fiber supply device 1, the wind-out device 2 supporting a CSY package 3 and winding out an elastic yarn 4, the yarn guide 12 guiding a filament yarn 4 drawn out from a CFY package 13 located behind the core fiber supply device 1.
