摘要: A network system includes at least one unit selected from between an energy consumption unit receiving energy and an energy management unit managing the energy consumption unit, wherein an energy usage amount or an energy usage cost of the energy consumption unit are controllable, and the energy usage amount or the energy usage cost when the unit is controlled based on information associated with at least an energy cost is smaller than an energy usage amount or an energy usage cost when the unit is controlled without using the information related to at least the energy cost, and a display device detachably coupled to the energy consumption unit, wherein availability of the display device is determined according to a communication signal transmitted to the energy receiving unit.

摘要: A method of controlling a network system is provided. The network system includes a metering device measuring energy supplied from a power supply source, a communication device in which energy information related to the energy communicates, and an energy management device recognizing the energy information, the energy management device controlling an operation of an electric product. The metering device or the energy management device checks whether communication of the communication device is possible. Also, when it is determined that the communication device is in a communication failure state, the communication failure state is displayed on the outside thereof. When a communication modem mounted on the electric product is in a communication failure state, the electric product may normally perform a power management program, based on power or operation information stored therein.

摘要: Provided is a network system including an advanced metering infrastructure, an energy management system, a computer, and a diagnostic program. The advanced metering infrastructure interactively communicates with a power supply source and measures energy from the power supply source. The energy management system is connected to the advanced metering infrastructure to communicate with it and controls an operation of an electric product based on operation information of the electric product or energy information from the power supply source. The computer is connected to the electric product or energy management system to communicate with the electric product or energy management system. The diagnostic program is performed by the energy management system or computer and diagnoses a trouble of the electric product. An electric product having a trouble is remotely diagnosed to provide a quick countermeasure, thereby detecting the cause of the trouble without a service engineer and improving a user's convenience.

摘要: Provided are a network system and a method of controlling the same. The network system includes a metering device metering energy supplied from a power supply source, a communication device by which energy information related to the energy communicates, an energy management device recognizing the energy information to control an operation of an electric product, and an environment information management device recognizing a carbon amount or a carbon dioxide amount, which is generated according to the operation of the electric product. A power-saving operation of the electric product is selectively performed, based on the carbon amount or the carbon dioxide amount recognized by the environment information management device. Since a power management program is executed using an environment information management unit, energy may be further efficiently managed within an intellectual power supply network.

摘要: A home appliance and a signal output method thereof are disclosed. The home appliance outputs product information in the form of a sound signal, which is transmitted to a service center at a remote site over a communication network so that the service center can readily check the state of the home appliance. A digital signal including product information of the home appliance is converted into a sound signal based on a plurality of frequency signals. Therefore, a larger amount of data can be rapidly transmitted for a fault diagnosis, so as to improve fault diagnosis accuracy.
