摘要: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to mapping different information to different sub-channels. For example, information for different users may be mapped to different Polar code sub-channels. In some aspects, the mapping may be unbalanced in that different information is mapped to different sub-channels according to the quality (e.g., in terms of error probability) of the sub-channels and a criterion associated with the information. For example, control information for users that are experiencing the worst channel quality (e.g., in a wireless communication channel) may be mapped to the Polar code sub-channels that have the best quality.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for constructing polar codes are provided. A transmitter determines at least one set of parameters corresponding to data to be transmitted, and a set of sorting indices corresponding to bits of the data to be transmitted based on the set of parameters, the set of sorting indices indicating a position set of the bits to be transmitted. The transmitter polar encodes the data based at least on the set of parameters and the set of sorting indices to generate a coded block of the data, and transmits the coded block of the data.

摘要: Features of the present disclosure implement a low complexity rate-matching design for polar codes that supports full rate-matching granularity, in some cases without good bit re-estimation after puncturing. In particular, features of the present disclosure provide techniques for adjusting the information bits allocation based on the number of punctured bits (P) for block puncturing polar codes. Particularly, features of the present disclosure determine the number of information bits for each sector based on a capacity formula after the puncturing.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that support channel selection for parity bits in polar coding techniques. In some cases, an encoder or decoder of a wireless device may assign information bits, frozen bits, and parity check bits to polar channels of an encoder or decoder based on reliability metrics. The information bits may initially be assigned and based on a channel index of the first information bit, the parity check bits may be assigned to channels having higher channel indices than the first information bit. After assignment, the bits may be encoded or decoded.

摘要: A transmitting device may identify a set of bit locations of a polar code for encoding an input vector based at least in part on a reliability order of the bit locations, where the input vector includes a set of payload bits. The transmitting device may map bits of the input vector to respective bit locations of the identified set of bit locations and may apply a masking operation to a subset of bits of the input vector that is mapped to a most reliable subset of the set of bit locations. The transmitting device may perform an encoding operation according to the mapped input vector to generate a codeword for transmission. A receiving device may perform complementary operations to obtain the payload bits of the input vector. Based on the described techniques, a false alarm rate for the receiving device may be suppressed.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) schemes to improve the likelihood that information is received correctly over a wireless communications link. In HARQ, when a transmitting device determines that a receiving device failed to successfully decode a transmission of information, the transmitting device may retransmit the information to the receiving device. In some cases, HARQ techniques may be used for communications associated with different types of services. In such cases, to keep the latency of communications within a latency budget for a particular type of service, wireless devices may utilize the techniques described herein to dynamically terminate HARQ retransmissions. For instance, a transmitting device may avoid retransmitting information when an amount of time that has elapsed since an original transmission of the information has exceeded the latency budget.

摘要: Polar codes may be generated with a variable block length utilizing puncturing. Some puncturing schemes consider punctured bits as unknown bits, and set the log likelihood ratio (LLR) for those bits to zero; while other puncturing schemes consider punctured bits as known bits, and set the LLR for those bits to infinity. Each of these puncturing schemes has been observed to provide benefits over the other under different circumstances, especially corresponding to different coding rates or different signal to noise ratio (SNR). According to aspects of the present disclosure, both puncturing schemes are compared, and the puncturing scheme resulting in the better performance is utilized for transmission.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. To encode a vector of bits using a polar code, an encoder may allocate information bits of the vector to polarized bit-channels associated with a channel (e.g., a set of unpolarized bit-channels) used for a transmission. In some cases, the polarized bit-channels may be partitioned into groups associated with different values of some associated reliability metric (s). The information bits may be allocated to the polarized bit-channels based on the reliability metrics of the different polarized bit-channels and the overall capacity of a transmission. That is, the bit locations of a transmission may depend on the reliability metrics of different polarized bit-channels and the overall capacity of the transmission. To facilitate puncturing, the overall capacity of the transmission may be adjusted and the unpolarized bit-channels may be partitioned into polarized bit-channels based on the adjusted capacity.
