摘要: A method and apparatus for processing a subterranean formation comprising stimulating and fracturing a subterranean formation, and drilling the subterranean formation wherein the drilling and fracturing occurs without removing equipment for drilling from the formation. A method and apparatus for drilling and fracturing a subterranean formation, comprising a drill string assembly and a hydraulic fracturing system, wherein the drill string and fracturing system are in communication with a wellbore and wherein the drill string and a fracture formed by the hydraulic fracturing system are less than about 1000 feet apart. A method and apparatus for processing a subterranean formation comprising fracturing a subterranean formation using a hydraulic fracturing system and drilling the subterranean formation using a drill string assembly wherein the drilling and fracturing occurs without removing the drill string from the formation, and wherein the fracturing occurs via ports in the drill string assembly.

摘要: A temporary matrix is provided in treating a subterranean formation by providing a composition comprising a matrix forming material and a matrix degrading material. The matrix degrading material is capable of degrading the matrix after a period of time when subjected to existing or induced conditions of the subterranean formation. The composition is placed into a wellbore penetrating the subterranean formation. The composition is allowed to form a matrix within the wellbore, whereby the matrix at least one of significantly reduces the passage of fluid across or near the matrix or provides structural strength. A treatment operation is performed on the subterranean formation or wellbore and the degrading material is allowed to degrade the matrix.

摘要: The invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation penetrated by at least one injection well and at least one production well, the method comprising the steps of a) analyzing the injection well, the production well, and reservoir contained in the subterranean formation; b) selecting at least one fluid and at least one permeability reducer to be placed in flow ways contained within the formation; and c) performing a formation permeability modification using the selected fluids and at least one permeability reducer, whereby the flow of injected driving fluid between the injection well and production well is substantially reduced. In one embodiment, the method of analyzing the injection well, the production well, and reservoir contained in the subterranean formation includes the steps of evaluation of completion information, reservoir data, or both.

摘要: A multilayered ball sealer having a deformable layer. The multilayered ball sealer has an outer or intermediate layer that is deformable under pressure. In the former, the deformable layer may be water-soluble or hydrolysable. In the latter, the outer layer is a sheath that contains the deformable layer and adapts to its shape. A multilayered ball sealer may be used as a diversion agent by being suspended in a fluid injected into a wellbore and applying pressure to deform the shape of the intermediate layer such that the multilayered ball sealer adapts to the shape of a perforation opening on which the multilayered ball sealer has seated.

摘要: Methods are presented to induce a screenout during a subterranean formation fracturing or combined fracturing and gravel packing treatment having a viscoelastic surfactant-based carrier fluid by laying down a filter cake at least a portion of which is a base-soluble material, injecting proppant slurry, and causing hydrolysis and dissolution of the solid base-soluble material by adding base so that leak-off increases, the concentration of proppant in the fracture increases, and the proppant screens out. A method of gravel packing with a viscoelastic surfactant-based carrier fluid by laying down a filter cake at least a portion of which is a base-soluble material, injecting gravel, and causing hydrolysis and dissolution of the solid base-soluble material by adding base. Methods of slowing or accelerating the hydrolysis and dissolution are given, and addition of bridging-promoting materials is included.
