摘要: This document discusses, among other things, a system capable of resolving interactions between programmable parameters for operation of a medical device. Programming these devices is a difficult task when many parameters are involved. The disclosed systems and methods attempt to reduce and minimize constraint violations between interdependent parameters using an initial set of parameter values supplied by user (typically a physician) input or calculated automatically, and constraint violations describing invalid parameter values. If possible, a set of parameter values with less egregious constraint violations is generated and may be displayed to the user. A user is prompted to accept the set of parameter values and program the medical device.

摘要: This document discusses, among other things, an external device that includes a communication circuit, a programming interface including a display, and a processor. The processor includes a parameter analyzer to apply a rule to a combination of operating parameter values of the IMD to determine operating parameter interaction. The display includes a first warning that is displayed when the parameter analyzer determines that a combination of operating parameter values entered via the programming interface is not allowed, and a second warning that is displayed when the parameter analyzer determines that a combination of operating parameters values entered via the programming interface is allowable but not recommended. The processor is configured to program the operating parameter values associated with the second warning into the IMD only after a user acknowledgement of the second warning is received from a user via the programming interface.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for graphically configuring leads for a medical device. According to one aspect, the system generally comprises a medical device and a processing device, such as a programmer or computer, adapted to be in communication with the medical device. The medical device has at least one lead with at least one electrode in a configuration that can be changed using the processing device. The processing device provides a graphical display of the configuration, including a representative image of a proposed electrical signal to be applied by the medical device between the at least one electrode of the medical device and at least one other electrode before the medical device applies the electrical signal between the at least one electrode and the at least one other electrode. In one embodiment, the graphical display graphically represents the lead(s), the electrode(s), a pulse polarity, and a vector.

摘要: A system and method for managing alert notifications in an automated patient management system is presented. One or more settings specifying patient data collection periodicity are defined. One or more patient data sources operating on a remotely managed patient and selected from at least one of a physiological sensor and a therapy delivery device are also defined. One or more triggers associated with a condition occurring in relation to at least one such patient data evaluateable subsequent to collection are defined. Finally, a notification scheme executable upon detection of at least one such trigger is determined to provide an external indicator of the condition occurrence.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for displaying statistical distributions of cardiac events. According to one aspect, a programmer device is provided that generally comprises circuitry for communicating with a medical device, and a display. The medical device collects data regarding cardiac events occurring at two or more sites, and the display provides a histogram of the data as two or more statistical distributions for the two or more sites. In one embodiment, the data includes both sensed intrinsic cardiac events and paced cardiac events. And in another embodiment, the histogram generally comprises a plurality of histogram bins that provide statistical distributions for the cardiac events. Each of the histogram bins generally includes a portion of a first cardiac event distribution and a portion of a second cardiac event distribution. In one embodiment, the portions of the first cardiac event distribution and the portions of the second cardiac event distribution are adjacent to each other in each histogram bin. In one embodiment, the first and second cardiac event distributions include right ventricular and left ventricular cardiac event distributions. According to other aspects, a method, a system, a histogram, a display, and a software program for providing a cardiac event graph are also provided herein.
