摘要: A holder for maintaining substrates in an array during a high throughput materials deposition comprising a face plate, middle plate and retainer plate attached in sequence and aligned in an axis in which a plurality of cylindrical substrates are maintained in cylindrical chambers formed in an array with respect to the face surface of the block assembly. A spring loading mechanism positions the substrates within the chambers during the processing of the substrates, the substrates are removable from the holder after the completion of processing.

摘要: An electrochemical cell assembly including a plurality of testing cells, a reference cell, and fluid connections between the testing cells and the reference cell. Each of the testing cells includes a working electrode, which is a rotating disk or ring-disk electrode, and a counter electrode. A chemical composition, whose intrinsic kinetic properties under defined mass-transfer are to be investigated, is deposited on the working electrode. The reference cell holds a reference electrode that serves as a common reference electrode for each of the testing cells. The assembly permits simultaneous testing of many chemical compositions under identical environment.

摘要: An infinitely variable physical vapor deposition matrix system that allows the synthesis of multiple combinatorial catalyst samples at essentially the same time, by the co-deposition of multiple materials, or the sequential layer by layer deposition of multiple catalyst constituents, or both, such that the optimum mix of materials for a pre-determined application can be experimentally determined in subsequent testing. The discovery of optimal catalyst combinations for utilization in specified reactions and devices is facilitated. The high throughput system reduces the time and complexity of processing typically required to formulate and test combinatorial catalyst materials.

摘要: A system and method for adaptive remote decision making includes steps of: receiving from an application layer a target range for a level of reporting quality for processed data; setting data collection parameters to meet the target range; collecting the data from a plurality of remote data collecting devices deployed in the distributed computing system, a portion of said data being compromised during the collecting process; processing the collected data to produce the processed data; evaluating the processed data based on observable metrics of current collected data and reported data losses; forecasting an expected reporting quality while continuing to collect the data; comparing the expected reporting quality with the target range; and reporting the processed data when the expected reporting quality falls within the target range for the level of reporting quality.

摘要: Spectrum access for Internet of things (IOT) applications including receiving information about expected use by a primary user of a spectrum band in a radio frequency spectrum. The spectrum band is classified into at least two working modes based on the expected use. The spectrum band is sensed to determine a current access pattern of the primary user. Based on the classifying and the sensing, one of the working modes is selected as a current working mode of the primary user. Transmissions are scheduled on the spectrum band using a current schedule that is responsive to the current working mode of the primary user. If the current working mode of the primary user changes, the sensing, selecting, scheduling, and determining whether the current working mode has changed are re-performed. Otherwise, the transmission scheduling and determining if the current working mode has changed are re-performed.

摘要: A computer program product is tangibly embodied on a computer-readable medium and includes executable code that, when executed, is configured to cause a data processing apparatus to display multiple objects in a single pane, where the multiple objects are visual representations of real objects and the multiple objects are dynamically sized and spaced relative to one another to fit all of the objects in the single pane. The computer program product includes executable code that, when executed, causes the data processing apparatus to display a subset of the objects and associated metadata in an examination frame. The examination frame is sized to fit within the single pane, where the subset of the objects displayed within the examination frame are sized larger than the objects outside of the examination frame.
