    摘要: A circuit for disconnecting a neutral point of an electric machine includes an inductance connected to a lead of the electric machine; a three-terminal solid-state switch that has a first terminal connected to the inductance, a second terminal connected to the neutral point, and a third terminal for controlling a flow of current between the first and second terminals; a controlling circuit coupled to the three-terminal solid-state switch that includes a first loop that has a power source, a resistance, and a voltage regulator to maintain a first voltage upon the third terminal, and a second loop that has a power source, a resistance, and a trigger switch being controllably switched on to thereby close the first loop whereby a second voltage is applied to the three-terminal solid-state switch to thereby substantially electrically disconnect the first terminal from the second terminal.

    摘要: The pulse width modulated DC motor speed control circuit indirectly senses motor current using sense MOSFETs and a peak detector circuit with storage capacitor for deriving an average motor current signal. The average motor current signal is used both in the feedback loop of the pulse width modulated speed control circuit and also in the motor shutoff or clutch circuit. The clutch circuit shuts off power to the motor when a user-settable torque is reached. The motor speed control circuit is therefore adapted for use in hand-held DC power tools such as screwdrivers and nutdrivers which stop rotation at a predefined torque.

The motor control system includes a motor, a DC power source and DC input lines, and a current command controller. The DC power source generates a bridge voltage across the DC input lines.     摘要: A motor control system for determining a ripple compensating current is provided. The motor control system includes a motor having a plurality of motor harmonics and a motor frequency, and a bandwidth compensation controller that is in communication with the motor. The bandwidth compensation controller is configured to determine a magnitude response compensation value and a phase compensation value for each of the plurality of motor harmonics. The magnitude response compensation value and the phase compensation value are both based on the motor frequency. The bandwidth compensation controller is configured to determine the ripple compensating current based on the magnitude response compensation value and the phase compensation value.

    摘要: Disclosed herein, in an exemplary embodiment, is a position sensor assembly including a circular-shaped or rhombus-shaped magnet and at least one magnetic flux density sensor, such as a Hall effect sensor, wherein rotation of the magnet is detected by the at least one sensor. The magnet may be positioned coaxially with the longitudinal axis of a rotor shaft of a motor and provided within a support. A position extraction algorithm may be employed using the output from the sensors to detect the position of the rotor shaft.

    摘要: A brushless DC motor has a permanent magnet rotor comprising p magnetic poles and a stator having an integer multiple of 6*p*n slots containing windings, n being a positive, non-zero integer, and the poles and slots being skewed by one slot pitch with respect to each other. The windings in the slots are electrically connected in two separate groups of three-phase windings with each group having three phase terminals, the windings of each group being distributed in phase belts occupying alternate sectors of 30 electrical degrees and the windings of the first group alternating with the windings of the second group. Since the trapezoidal back EMF voltage curve has a wider top it exhibits less droop, compared with an equivalent three-phase brushless DC motor of the prior art, over the 60 electrical degree period centered on maximum back EMF in which torque producing current is applied. In addition, the maxima of back EMF voltage across pairs of terminals in the two groups of three phase windings are 30 electrical degrees out of phase with each other, so that variations in back EMF voltage in the two groups tend to cancel each other as torque producing current is applied to both groups. The result is significantly less torque ripple due to back EMF variation, compared with an equivalent three-phase brushless DC motor of the prior art, and less vibration coupled to the steering wheel of an electric power steering system in which the motor is used as a power assist actuator.
