摘要： Cooling chambers (R1, R2) for accommodating therein a cooling fluid for cooling a liquid crystal panel (441) are formed inside a pair of frame members (4405, 4406) constituting an optical modulator holder (4402). There are provided, in the pair of frame members (4405, 4406), inlet ports (4405D, 4406D) for inletting a cooling fluid into the cooling chambers (R1, R2), outlet ports (4405E, 4406E) for discharging the cooling fluid inside the cooling chambers (R1, R2) to the outside, and a buffer section (Bf1) for temporally accumulating the cooling fluid flowing therein via the inlet ports (4405D, 4406D) and rectifying a flow direction of the cooling fluid to a direction parallel to an optical modulation face and/or to a direction perpendicular to the optical modulation face.

摘要： The invention provides a holder frame, optical device and projector which can prevent the substrate from deviating in position, the substrate from being compressed at the outer periphery and color unevenness from occurring. More particularly, in the four sides of a luminous-flux incident surface of a holder frame, there can be formed a plurality of cutouts extending from a vicinity of an opening to an outer edge of the luminous-flux incident surface and nearly orthogonal to a lengthwise of each side. Also, in the four sides of an accommodating surface of the holder frame, there are formed a plurality of cutouts extending from a vicinity of an opening to an outer edge of the accommodating surface and nearly orthogonal to a lengthwise of each side. The cutouts in each side of the accommodating surface of the holder frame are formed in positions between the cutouts formed in each side of the luminous-flux incident surface of the holder frame as viewed from a side of luminance-flux incidence.

摘要： To provide a projector reduced in size and weight and countermeasures against EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) as well. The projector has vertically separable outer cases which accommodate an optical system comprising: a color beam splitting optical system for splitting light from a light source into beams of predetermined colors; an electro-optical device for modulating the color beams split by the color beam splitting optical system in accordance with image information; a color beam combining optical system for combining the color beams modulated by the electro-optical devices; and a projection lens for projecting the resultant beam combined by the color beam combining optical system. 摘要： An electrode-optical device mounting unit for a projector is disclosed. 摘要： A projection display device projector capable of improving cooling efficiency of the power unit includes a light source lamp unit, a projection lens unit, an exhaust fan provided near the light source lamp unit for ventilating an outer case, and a ventilating path provided inside the power unit. A suction fan is provided at the inlet of the ventilating path which is connected to the cooling air intake port through a duct cover to directly conduct fresh air into the ventilating path. Because the interior of the power unit is cooled by fresh air which is cooler than the air inside the outer case, cooling efficiency is enhanced.

On a reference surface of an upper housing composing the outer housing of a projection display apparatus, there are formed convex sections, and a supporting rib, the foregoing convex sections extending in the direction where a semimolten metal flows, and the foregoing supporting rib intersecting with the foregoing convex sections.
