    Abstract: The present invention is designed so that a plurality of channels can be received adequately even when the bandwidth to use is limited to a narrowband which is a part of a system bandwidth. A user terminal, in which the bandwidth to use is limited to the narrowband which is a part of the system bandwidth, has a receiving section that receives a broadcast transport block and a unicast transport block, and a control section that switches the transport block to receive depending on the RRC mode of the user terminal, and, when the receiving section receives both the broadcast transport block and the unicast transport block and the user terminal is in the RRC-connected mode, the control section exerts control so that the unicast transport block is received, based on priorities that are determined in advance.

    Abstract: The present invention is designed so that, in a radio communication system in which a plurality of component carriers (CCs) are used in each small cell within a macro cell, the load of measurements, the amount of information to report and so on in user terminals are reduced. The macro base station of the present invention transmits, to a user terminal, measurement indication information that includes a measurement indication for the received power of a measurement signal of a specific CC in each small cell, and receives, from the user terminal, a measurement report that includes the received power of the measurement signal of the specific CC. Also, the macro base station calculates the received quality of the measurement signals of the plurality of CCs based on the received power of the measurement signal of the specific CC.

    Abstract: In one aspect, the adaptive modulation and coding method includes, in a user terminal, receiving a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index, acquiring a modulation order corresponding to the received MCS index as a modulation order of a downlink shared channel, from a first table in which MCS indexes are associated with modulation orders including 8 and transport block size (TBS) indexes, and a second table is provided in which MCS indexes are associated with modulation orders of less than 8 and TBS indexes, and the first table is provided by puncturing a combination of a modulation order and a TBS index in the second table so that the first table and the second table are equal in a number of bits for an MCS index.
