摘要: Methods, and apparatus implementing methods, including computer program products, for merging images of segments of a view. Methods include: receiving, from a network, a first image representing a first segment of the view and a second image representing a second segment of the view; determining the position of the second segment of the view relative to the first segment of the view; blending the first image with the second image based on the determined position of the second segment relative to the first segment to form a panoramic image of the view; and transmitting the panoramic image over the network.

摘要: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that provides access to features of a system or an application via a query. During operation, the system first obtains a query. Next, the system identifies features of the system or the application which are associated with results of the query. The system then presents live controls for the associated features to a user. This enables the user to activate the live controls to perform associated actions, without having to first navigate to a live control.

摘要: A publication vending device for vending a single publication per vend cycle. The single publication vending device includes a forward transport assembly located within a housing and connected to a carriage for reciprocating movement with the carriage. A the publication is advanced forward through a publication vend port, by operation of the forward transport assembly including. A first finger is positioned laterally to a first edge of the publication and a second finger is positioned laterally to a second edge of the publication. Each of the fingers is forwardly movable with forward operation of the carriage. Each of the fingers is configured for transpositional travel in a plane substantially coplanar to a plane of an interleaf of the publication and towards the centerline of the publication. As the carriage advances forward, the fingers insert between pages of the publication and exert a force against an inner surface of a fold of the publication and the publication advances through a vend port of the housing.

摘要: A method of blending images of segments of a view includes determining the position of a second segment of the view represented by a second image relative to a first segment of the view represented by a first image; dividing the second image into a first section and a second section, based on the determined positions; drawing the first image on a canvas; and drawing the first section of the second image on the canvas at the determined position so that a portion of the first section masks out a portion of the first image.

摘要: A method and system provides an object-oriented framework for rendering three-dimensional surfaces on a two-dimensional display in a flexible manner. The framework comprises two main classes that work together to render discretized data points that represent the three-dimensional graphic objects. The first class is used to construct a surface object which has a first member function that generates vertex information for each of the data points and stores the vertex information in a memory. The surface object also contains a second member function which generates indices into the stored vertex information which indices define shards on the surface which is being rendered. The second class is used to construct a rendering object which calls the first and second member functions in the surface object to first process the vertex data for display and then use the shard indices to retrieve the processed vertex data to render the surface. Vertex data processing is separated from shard processing to increase the efficiency of the rendering process.

摘要: An energy saving gas discharge lamp, and method of making same, is provided. The gas discharge lamp includes a light-transmissive envelope, and an electrode within the light-transmissive envelope to provide a discharge. A light scattering reflective layer is disposed on an inner surface of the light-transmissive envelope. A phosphor layer is coated on the light scattering reflective layer. A discharge-sustaining gaseous mixture is retained inside the light-transmissive envelope. The discharge-sustaining gaseous mixture includes more than 80% xenon, by volume, at a low pressure.
