The method generally includes identifying resources previously reserved for forward compatibility (FC) that are available for reuse, and providing signaling, to one or more user equipments (UEs), indicating the identified resources are available for reuse.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of whether to use uplink reference signals or downlink reference signals for uplink precoder determination. The UE may selectively transmit a plurality of uplink reference signals or one or more measurement reports based at least in part on the indication, wherein the one or more measurement reports are determined based at least in part on measuring a plurality of downlink reference signals. The UE may receive an indication of a precoder, of a plurality of precoders, to be used to precode an uplink communication, wherein the precoder is identified based at least in part on the plurality of uplink reference signals or the one or more measurement reports. The UE may precode the uplink communication using the precoder. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, multi-link PDCCH monitoring. A UE may receive signaling configuring it to operate in at least one of a set of different modes of monitoring beam-pair links, wherein each beam-pair link comprises a transmit beam configured to be used by a base station (BS) for beamformed transmissions and a corresponding receive beam used by the UE. The UE may monitor at least two or more beam-pair links for downlink control channel transmissions based, at least in part, on the received signaling, and may transmit feedback to the BS based, at least in part, on the monitored beam-pair links.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device, such as a base station or a user equipment, may identify an energy detection threshold for a sensing beam associated with a channel access procedure, such as a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure. The wireless device may also identify a set of transmit power parameters for one or more transmit beams. The wireless device may determine a degree of overlap between a beam shape of one or more transmit beams and a beam shape (e.g., a coverage area) of the sensing beam. The wireless device may adjust the set of transmit power parameters, the energy detection threshold, or a combination thereof based on the degree of overlap. The wireless device may perform the channel access procedure based on the determining, the adjusting, or both.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for time domain single carrier (SC) waveform communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may generate an SC waveform by resampling (e.g., up-sampling) mapped information bits prior to insertion of a cyclic prefix (CP) or guard interval (GI). Performing resampling prior to CP/GI insertion allows for resource allocation flexibility and a base station may allocate resources for the SC waveform in accordance with this flexibility. For example, a base station may not be limited or restricted to a certain number of resources for SC waveform communications and may therefore determine a resource allocation for the UE based on the capability of the UE to perform resampling prior to CP/GI insertion. The resampling may be performed according to a set of parameters including a resampling ratio, which may be indicated to the UE via control signaling (e.g., from the base station).

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be configured to communicate a number of transmissions that may each have separate feedback processes. A feedback configuration for providing feedback for such separate feedback processes may be determined based on semi-static signaling and dynamic signaling. In some cases, semi-static signaling, such as radio resource control (RRC) signaling and dynamic signaling, such as downlink control information (DCI), may together provide a feedback configuration for a particular transmission. The semi-static signaling may provide a number of bits of feedback information, an interpretation of the bits of feedback information, or combinations thereof, and dynamic signaling may indicate that one or more of the bits are to have one of a number of available interpretations, may indicate that one or more additional bits are to be included with feedback, of combinations thereof. These feedback techniques may be used to provide feedback for uplink or downlink transmissions.
