摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may initiate a successive decoding process for an encoded code block received at the wireless device, and generate, using a successive decoder, one or more candidate paths for a first portion of the code block, where the first portion of the code block includes a first data portion and a first data check portion. The wireless device may then perform a checking function on respective first data portions for the one or more candidate paths using respective first data check portions, and determine whether to terminate the successive decoding process prior to completing decoding of the encoded code block based at least in part on determining whether the checking function for each of the one or more candidate paths for the first data portion has failed the checking function.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for channel estimation include determining two streams corresponding to odd and even samples of a received signal that is sampled at a first chip rate, performing least squares successive interference cancellation on each of the two streams to obtain odd and even raw channel estimates, interlacing the odd and even raw channel estimates to obtain interlaced channel estimates, interpolating additional samples in the interlaced channel estimates to create higher chip rate channel estimates, identifying a first set of tap positions based on the higher chip rate channel estimates, applying matching pursuit to the first set of tap positions to identify a second set of tap positions, wherein the second set of tap positions includes fewer tap positions than the first set of tap positions, and determining a third set of tap positions by clustering each tap position included in the second set of tap positions.

摘要: A new radio (NR) bit prioritization procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed, resulting in transmission and reception of modulation symbols having prioritized bits. For example, a transmitter may encode a code block using low-density parity-check code to generate a stream of encoded bits. The transmitter may arrange the encoded bits in one or more modulation symbols according to a relative priority of the encoded bits. The highest priority bits may be located in the most significant bits of the modulation symbol, and therefore be less likely to experience errors. A receiver may receive the modulation symbols and reorder the encoded bits according to the coding scheme based on the relative priority prior to decoding the encoded bits. The prioritization of the bits within the modulation symbols may provide improved block error rates over sequential mapping of encoded bits to symbols.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine to decode or refrain from decoding a transport block (TB) transmitted from a base station based on a decodability condition. The decodability condition may include whether an effective UE throughput for decoding the TB is greater than a predetermined decoding throughput threshold or not. If the effective UE throughput is greater than the predetermined decoding throughput threshold, the UE may refrain from decoding the TB. In some cases, the TB may be a subsequent transmission from the base station based on an initial transmission not being correctly decoded, and the UE may refrain from decoding the subsequent transmission.

摘要: Techniques are described herein to terminate a list decoding operation before its completion based on performing one or more error check processes. A transmitted codeword encoded using a polar code may include one or more error check vectors interspersed with one or more information vectors. Upon receiving the codeword, a decoder may perform a list decoding operation on the received codeword. Upon decoding one of the error check vectors, the decoder may determine whether at least one candidate path used in the successive cancellation list decoding operation passes an error check process based on the error check vector. If no candidate paths satisfy the error check process, the decoder may terminate the list decoding operation. In some examples, the decoder may recheck whether candidate paths satisfy the error check operation at intermediate positions between error check vectors. Such rechecking may occur while decoding information vectors.
