Abstract: Techniques for random access channel signaling on a shared communication medium are disclosed. A broadcast message including information associated with a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) may be transmitted and received on one or more subframes in a portion configured for downlink signaling. The broadcast message may comprise a contention type indicator, a timing advance indicator, or a combination thereof. The contention type indicator may indicate whether contention is in effect for transmission on the PRACH. The timing advance indicator may indicate whether an uplink transmission offset is in effect for transmission on the PRACH. Signaling over the PRACH may be transmitted and received on one or more subframes in a portion configured for uplink signaling.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Resources for narrowband communication in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band may be configured and allocated based on resource availability, regulatory constraints, and device capability or category. A narrowband wireless device, such as a machine type communication device or other relatively low complexity device, may communicate using one or more narrowband carriers, which may occupy between one tone and multiple resource blocks in an unlicensed spectrum band (e.g., any number of resources between one (1) tone and multiple resource blocks (RBs)). Different device types may thus be configured differently as they move between geographic regions. The base station may then communicate with the narrowband mobile device based on the resource allocation and the carrier configuration.

Abstract: A base station (BS) may communicate with a user equipment (UE) using a subset of channels. The BS may select a subset of a set of channels for use in communication with the UE. The BS may transmit, to the UE, a signal to identify the subset of channels. In some aspects, the BS may transmit, and the UE may receive, a channel list indicator identifying the subset of channels. The channel list indicator may include an integer value, which the UE may use to identify a subset of combinatorial factors. Based at least in part on the subset of combinatorial factors, the UE may identify the subset of the set of channels for use in communication with the BS. The UE may communicate with the BS using at least one of the subset of the set of channels, such as in a frequency hopping communication system and/or the like.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication that support positioning techniques are described. One method may include receiving a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration; receiving a plurality of PRS transmissions over a shared radio frequency spectrum from a plurality of base stations; and transmitting a measurement report of the PRS transmissions. The PRS transmissions may be received according to the PRS configuration. Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for exchanging resource pool (RP) configurations between wireless communication devices. A transmitting wireless communication device can transmit a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) message including a RP configuration of the transmitting wireless communication device to at least one receiving wireless communication device. The RMSI message is transmitted within a minimum resource block set that is common to both the transmitting wireless communication device and the at least one receiving wireless communication device. The transmitting wireless communication device may then communicate with the at least one receiving wireless communication device on a sidelink based on the RP configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a helper user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a signaling message requesting the helper UE to monitor for and transmit a sidelink communication in a manner that uses a single-frequency network, wherein the sidelink communication is to be transmitted by a source UE to a destination UE that is different from the helper UE. The helper UE may receive the sidelink communication, transmitted by the source UE to the destination UE, in a first time-frequency resource of the single-frequency network. The helper UE may transmit the sidelink communication in a second time-frequency resource of the single-frequency network, wherein the second time-frequency resource is indicated to the helper UE by the base station. Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling sidelink transmissions in one or more sets of multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs) over a shared spectrum. The UE may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) for one or more of the TTIs in the one or more sets of multiple TTIs, and the UE may transmit, to a base station, an indication of results of the LBT performed for the one or more TTIs. Because the UE may provide the results of the LBT to the base station, the base station may be able to schedule sidelink transmissions from the UE based on the results of the LBT. As such, the UE may experience increased throughput in sidelink communications since the scheduling at the base station may be improved.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support a super slot configuration for new radio (NR) sidelink over millimeter wave (mmW) operating frequencies. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes obtaining a sidelink resource pool configuration including configuration of one or more super slots, wherein each super slot includes a plurality of slots contiguous in a time domain The UE may select one or more sidelink resource slots for sidelink transmissions in a sidelink resource pool and transmit an enhanced sidelink control information (eSCI) message in a first slot of a first super slot, wherein the eSCI message indicates a reservation of slots corresponding to the one or more sidelink resource slots. The UE may then send the sidelink transmissions on at least one slot of the reserved slots. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

One aspect provides a method for wireless communication by a user equipment, including receiving a first cyclic prefix of a first symbol within a slot at the user equipment.
