    摘要: The invention relates to a method for generating video holograms for a holographic reproduction device with at least one light modulation means, wherein a scene split into object points is encoded as a whole hologram and can be seen as a reconstruction from a visibility region, which is located within a periodicity interval of the reconstruction of the video hologram. The visibility region, together with each object point of the scene to be reconstructed, defines a subhologram and the whole hologram is generated from a superposition of subholograms, wherein in a sequence of image contents the difference subholograms of object points are preferably generated for each picture, differing in regards to the visibility according to the viewer position in sequential images of the sequence. The display device comprises means that provide high-quality video holograms in spite of the data amount being significantly reduced.

    摘要: The invention relates to an autostereoscopic method and a device for the three-dimensional representation of information according to a barrier-, lenticular-, prismatic mask-, or similar method using flat-panel displays (liquid crystal-, plasma-, electroluminescent- or other displays) for use in the computer and video technology, games and advertising, medical engineering, virtual reality applications, and other fields. According to the invention, the image points are proportionally tracked to lateral movement of the observer by shifting, for each colored subpixel, of the intensities of the colored subpixels to horizontally adjacent colored subpixels. The method can be used with known devices. It becomes especially useful when, for each image point, n+1 adjacent colored subpixels are addressed. Observers moving sideways continue to see the image in practically consistently high quality.

    摘要: A holographic projection system has an optical wave tracking system which adjusts the propagation direction of a modulated wavefront. It provides an adjustable wave tracking system which aligns the modulated wave with a desired eye position of one or more observers and follows the movements of the observer. The system comprises spatial light modulation means which modulate a wave with holographic information for the purpose of holographic reconstruction. The optical wave tracking provides the light path of the modulated wave with a desired propagation direction which guides the modulated wave out of the reconstruction system via a light exit position of a display screen. Position control means set adjustable tracking mirror means in terms of their inclination to a reflection direction for reflecting the modulated wave and deflection means, which are located in the set reflection direction, reflect the wave via the display screen into the desired propagation direction.

The system includes spatial light modulation means which modulate light waves capable of interference with at least one video hologram, focusing means which focus the modulated light waves so that a viewer can view the reconstructed object light points of the scene from a visibility region that is thereby produced by focusing, and deflection means which position the visibility region by aligning the modulated light waves. The holographic reconstruction system includes deflection control means for controlling the deflection means to sequentially adjust the visibility region to different contiguous viewing positions, and light controlling means for switching the light waves in synchronicity with the deflection control means.

    摘要: The invention relates to video holograms and devices for reconstructing video holograms, comprising an optical system having a light source, lens and the video hologram having cells arranged in a matrix or a regular pattern with at least one opening per cell, the phase or amplitude of said opening being controllable. The holographic video representations of expanded spatial objects can be achieved in a wide viewing area in real time using controllable displays, whereby the objects are either computer-generated or created by different means. The space-bandwidth product (SBP) of the hologram is thus reduced to a minimum and the periodicity interval of the Fourier spectrum is used as a viewing window on the inverse transformation plane, through which the object is visible in the preceding space. The mobility of the viewer(s) is achieved by tracking the viewing window.

    摘要: An optical unit for dynamically shaping a wavefront is disclosed, having light modulation cells disposed regularly in cell fields, and locally influencing partial light waves in a propagating light wavefront. Each cell field is connected to a cell controller separately adjusting the optical behavior of the light modulator cells. Serially-disposed fields, each having modulator cells, are located in the light path of the light wavefront. Cell control means adjust the modulator cells in a first cell field such that the modulator cells discretely implement a phase shift having a continuous phase value, and in a second cell field such that the modulator cells implement a prism function having a continuous directional value for the partial light waves. A focusing means for the emitted wavefront is also located in the light path of the optical unit, guiding the partial light waves at an output pupil of the optical unit.
