    摘要: A data storage circuit includes a hard disk drive (HDD) and a fall sensor. The HDD includes a rotatable media platter operable to receive and store data; a read/write head operable to communicate with the media platter by writing data to the media platter and by reading the data from the media platter; an arm supporting the read/write head; a motor coupled to the arm and operable to move the arm to and from the media platter; a drive controller operable to control the media platter, the read/write head and the servo motor; a general purpose input/output (GPIO) terminal coupled to the drive controller; and a data interface terminal coupled to the drive controller. The fall sensor is communicatively coupled to the drive controller and is configured to send an interrupt trigger signal to the drive controller when the drive is falling. The interrupt trigger signal is sent via the GPIO terminal when the HDD is free fall sense enabled and the interrupt trigger signal is sent via the data interface terminal when the HDD is not free fall sense enabled.

The keycap includes a light transmitting section. An illuminator is located adjacent the light transmitting section. A flexible illumination guide is positioned about a perimeter of the illuminator. The flexible illumination guide is operable to flex in response to engaging the keycap. The illuminator is operable to provide illumination through the flexible illumination guide and the light transmitting section. The flexible illumination guide prevents illumination from escaping directly from the perimeter of the illuminator and through the space between the keycap and the base.

    摘要: A drive vibration prevention system includes a fan and a drive. The drive includes a vibration detection device and a vibration notification pin. A management engine is coupled to the drive and the fan. The management engine is operable to determine whether the vibration notification pin is being asserted in response to the vibration detection device detecting a vibration that exceeds a predetermined threshold. In response to determining that the vibration notification pin is being asserted, the management engine retrieves vibration data from the drive. The management engine then modifies a fan speed of the fan using the vibration data. Drives may be grouped into drive groups that output a single vibration notification signal to the management engine, and in response to the assertion of a vibration notification pin in the drive group, the management engine retrieves vibration data from each of the drives in that drive group.
