摘要： A wireless charging module includes an antenna and a wireless charger module. An enclosure is configured to fit at least partially within an optical drive bay of an information handling system. The antenna is disposed within a plastic lower portion of the enclosure. The plastic lower portion of the enclosure is configured to enable the antenna to wirelessly receive power from a wireless charging pad. The wireless charger module is disposed within the enclosure, and is configured to provide power to the information handling system.

摘要： An information handling system accepts a storage device in a bay that interfaces through a standardized connector having a first set of pins, such as a SATA connector. The standardized connector has a second set of pins inserted within the standardized footprint to support communication by devices other the storage device. For example, a SATA connect shares one or more of its standardized pins with a USB connector so that one common connector within an information handling system bay supports multiple types of devices.

摘要： An information handling system housing is manufactured from a laminate material having a stainless steel exterior and magnesium interior that are encapsulated with injection molding. A thin sheet of stainless steel is formed to have a lip that meets against the magnesium and is secured in place with injection molding material. In one embodiment, an injection molding tool holds the laminate material in place to encapsulate the perimeter of the material with injection molding material and also activates an adhesive that holds the laminate material together, such as by applying pressure and heat to the laminate material.

摘要： A support foot is mechanically fastened to an information handling system chassis with a coupling device partially embedded in the support foot through injection molding of the support foot over the coupling device. For instance the coupling device is a staple made of ductile metal having a body embedded in the support foot and two legs extending outward towards the chassis side of the support foot. The legs insert in openings at a chassis attachment point and bend to secure the support foot to the chassis. For instance, the staple legs are formed from a ductile metal, such as brass, aluminum or steel, that is bent by hand or by a machine to a closed staple shape.
