    摘要: An LGA connector assembly (1) includes an insulative base (11) receiving a plurality of contacts, a metal reinforcement (12) covering the base, and a lever (13) and a metal clip (14) respectively pivotally mounted on two opposite sides of the base. The base includes two opposite sidewalls (112), and each sidewall includes a pair of latches (116). The reinforcement includes a planar portion (121) and two elongate tabs (123) extending downwardly from two opposite lateral edges of the planar portion. Each tab includes a pair of windows (124) for engaging with the latches of the base. Thus, when the lever and the clip are rotated to tightly attach the CPU in the LGA connector assembly, the base is able to withstand the force from the clip without any deformation and warping.

    摘要: An electrical connector (1) for connecting a land grid array (LGA) chip (2) with a printed circuit board includes an insulative housing (12), a frame (11) engaged with the housing, and a plurality of terminals (13) received in the housing. The housing defines two adjacent sides (122, 123). A plurality of arcuate protrusions (1220, 1230) is formed on said sides. The frame has four sidewalls (110, 113, 114, 115) defining a central cavity (111) therebetween for receiving the LGA chip therein. Two adjacent of the sidewalls define a plurality of cutouts (1110, 1130) in respective inner faces thereof, corresponding to the protrusions respectively. The frame is mounted on the housing, with the protrusions being engagingly received in the corresponding cutouts. When the LGA chip is engaged with the connector, the protrusions elastically deform to accurately guide and securely fix the LGA chip in the connector.

The receptacle connector (10) includes an insulative first housing (12) having a plurality of first passageways (14) for receiving a corresponding number of first contacts (16) therein, respectively. Each first contact (16) is of a resilient bellow type and the distal end (22) thereof abuts against the butting wall (26) of the housing (12) for pre-loading consideration, thus controlling the contact gap for mating.     摘要: A memory card connector assembly has an upper and a lower stacked connectors (10) each including a generally H-shaped housing (12) comprising a main body (14) through which a plurality of contacts (120, 126, 134) extend in the front-to-back direction. Two parallel side guide arms (16, 18) are positioned at two ends of the main body (14) to form a first recess (30) for receiving an alignment comb (140) in the upper connector and an auxiliary socket (150) in the lower connector, and a second recess (38) for receiving a memory card therein. The contacts (134) of the upper connector (10) extend through the alignment comb (140) for horizontal alignment and through the auxiliary socket (150) for vertical alignment. Each connector 10 further comprises a sliding plate (72) operated by a lever (62) for extraction of the inserted memory card. Attached to the housing (12) is a reinforcement plate (100) with tangs (110) for removing electrostatic charge from the inserted card.
