    摘要: A display panel according to one aspect of the present invention includes a lower substrate, an upper substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The lower substrate includes a plate, a switching element, an insulating layer, a transmission electrode and a protrusion. The plate has a transmission region through which a light may pass. The switching element is formed on the plate. The insulating layer is formed on the plate to cover the switching element. The transmission electrode is electrically connected to the switching element. The transmission electrode is formed in the transmission region. The protrusion divides the transmission region into a plurality of transmission portions. The upper substrate faces the lower substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the lower substrate and the upper substrate. Advantageously, an image display quality of the display apparatus is improved, and manufacturing cost is decreased.

    摘要: In a blind detection apparatus and method capable of determining a modulation mode by comparing the absolute values of the real and imaginary parts of a sequence of intersymbol phase differences between symbols separated from each other at an interval of four symbols (instead of comparing intersymbol phase differences of symbols at an interval of one symbol as in the related art), the symbols being included in a training sequence code of a received normal burst. Therefore, a number of calculations for the blind detection may be decreased e.g., by a factor of four, and as a result, the time for performing the blind detection may be decreased. In addition, the hardware design for the blind detection may be simplified.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display panel includes a liquid crystal layer having a twist angle of ±10 degree. An upper polarizer is disposed over an upper substrate of the liquid crystal display panel, and includes an absorption axis forming at an angle of 47±10 degree in a clockwise direction with respect to a major axis. An upper λ/2 retardation film is disposed between the upper substrate and the upper polarizer, and includes Δnd1 of 260±10 nm and a slow axis forming at an angle of 166±10 degree in the clockwise direction with respect to the absorption axis. An upper λ/4 retardation film is disposed between the upper substrate and the upper λ/2 retardation film, and includes Δnd2 of 140±10 nm and a slow axis forming at an angle of 111±10 degree in the clockwise direction with respect to the absorption axis. Therefore, the optical condition of the optical film assembly is optimized to improve an image display quality.

    摘要: An LCD apparatus including a first member, a second member, a liquid crystal layer and an optical film assembly is presented. A phase delay of the optical film assembly is about −α. In a normally white mode, the phase delay of the liquid crystal layer is about (λ/2)+α when no voltage is applied and about “α” when voltage is applied. In a normally black mode, the phase delay of the liquid crystal layer is about “α” when no voltage is applied, and about (λ/2)+α when voltage is applied. The phase delay between the liquid crystal layer when voltage is applied and the liquid crystal layer when voltage is not applied is about λ/2. “α” is a positive number. By manipulating the value of α, power consumption can be reduced. For example, the apparatus can be driven with a voltage below 2.5 V.
