    摘要: A furnace to be heated to a high temperature which employs heating elements made from carbon or graphite. A longitudinal space within the furnace for accommodating said heating elements and a furnace bed for the transportation of articles to be treated through the furnace, is formed solely by blocks of porous carbon and without the emplyment of a conventionally prerequisite protective case. A pair of the heating elements extend along inner lateral walls of said space, facing to each other with the furnace bed therebetween, and have their electric terminals projecting through and outside of a bottom wall of the furnace.

    摘要: An illuminating optical system for endoscopes comprising a prism having surfaces adapted to totally reflect the light led into the prism and a surface adapted to project the light toward an object to be observed, and at least one tubular transparent member adjacent on one end face to a light source and contacting on the other end face with one of the surfaces of the prism to lead the light from the light source into the prism, so that, in spite of a high magnification, the uniform illumination is made and a clear stereoscopic image having no flare is always obtained. This prism may be arranged coaxially to or in parallel with the observing optical system. The tubular transparent member has an outer peripheral surface provided thereon a light shielding member and an inner peripheral surface which can scramble-reflect the light introduced into the interior.

    摘要: In manufacturing a field effect transistor, a pattern which has a wider upper layer and a narrower lower layer is formed at a gate electrode position. Using the pattern as a mask, first and second impurity regions are formed on both the sides of a gate region by ion implantation. Subsequently, at least the lower layer is buried in a material, such as an organic high polymer material, having a selectivity in etching characteristics with respect to the pattern material. After removing the lower layer, an electrode material is embedded in the resulting hole so as to form a gate electrode.
