    摘要: There is disclosed a storage container for an ink jet recording head, consisting of a part having a box-shaped recess for housing the recording head, and another plate-shaped part for covering the aperture of the recessed part. The recessed part and/or the plate-shaped part has volume resistivity not exceeding 10.sup.10 .OMEGA..cm at least in a portion in contact with the ink jet recording head, and is transparent totally or in part, and both members have nitrogen permeability not exceeding 0.5 cc.mm/cm.sup.2 sec.cmHg.10.sup.10. The container serves to prevent solidification of ink and electrostatic destruction during storage of the recording head.

A portion of the seal member is inwardly folded beyond the width of the first side. A portion of the seal member is outwardly folded beyond the width of the second side. The inwardly folded portion of the seal member is heat-sealed to a side of a packaging bladder for accommodating the ink container.

    摘要: An ink cartridge for ink jet use is provided with an aperture for filling in the cartridge with ink. The circumference of the aperture and a part of a plug pressed in the aperture are fused and welded to be formed integrally to airtightly close the aperture, and obtain an integrated structure without any interface. Hence, it is made possible to reliably prevent ink from leaking therefrom, even if some scratches and cracks are present on both of them. This contributes to eliminating inspection steps to find ink leakage in the course of manufacture, and also, contributes to improving the yield of production. As a result, a significant reduction of costs is possible, while enhancing the reliability of the ink cartridge.

According to the method, a seal member is positioned to a position corresponding to the ink supply port and the air vent, and the wall is thereafter collapsed through the seal member by a welding horn. By virtue of this method, a cover is thus provided in the wall above the groove to form a fluid communication path for fluid communication between the inside opening and the outside opening, with simultaneous welding of the seal member by heat.

    摘要: A printing system having an ink tank for storing ink, the ink tank having a housing having an ink feeding port formed through a first surface for feeding ink therethrough, and a second surface opposite the first. An ink absorbing member is accommodated in the housing, is a porous member having a three-dimensional net-shaped structure molded of a composition comprising a condensate of (i) a compound having an amino group and (ii) formaldehyde, and has a first surface facing the ink feeding port. An alleviating member having more resilience than the ink absorbing member is disposed between the ink absorbing member and an ink outflow portion formed through the ink feeding port and alleviates pressure applied by the ink outflow portion against the ink absorbing member. Both the alleviating member and the ink absorbing member are deformed by compression against the ink outflow portion. A compensating member having more resilience than the ink absorbing member is disposed between the ink absorbing member and the ink outflow portion and applies a functional force to the ink absorbing member corresponding to deterioration of properties of the ink absorbing member.
