摘要: A system and method is described for providing an encoding scheme for a bit stream and displaying or printing the encoded bit stream. Using the encoded bit stream, a pen with a camera may capture an image of a portion of the encoded bit stream. The captured image may then be decoded to provide an indication of the location of the image in relation to the encoded bit stream. The encoding scheme includes information regarding orientation, thus making decoding easier.

摘要: An embedded interaction code-enabled display includes: an outer transparency layer, an optional inner transparency layer, an optional infrared-reflection layer between the outer transparency layer and the inner transparency layer, an EIC dot pattern between the outer transparency layer and the infrared-reflection layer, and, optionally, transparency glue between the outer transparency layer and the infrared-reflection layer or the inner transparency layer. The outer transparency layer 1308 and the inner transparency layer may be glass, plastic, or a film. The EIC dot pattern may be printed on, or pressed onto, the inner side of the outer transparency layer. The EIC dot pattern may include an encoded surface identifier that identifies the embedded interaction code-enabled display. The encoded surface identifier may uniquely identify the embedded interaction code-enabled display.

The first decorative layer defines a plurality of decorative holes. A combination of the plurality of projections and the plurality of decorative holes can achieve a three-dimensional appearance.

A method for making the housing is also described.

摘要: A method of making a housing, comprising the steps of: providing a transparent plastic substrate, the substrate having an outer surface and an inner surface; coating at least portions of the outer surface with a photosensitizer; activating the substrate by using an energy ray to irradiate areas of the outer surface covered with the photosensitizer to form a conductive medium layer thereon; electroplating the activated substrate, an electroplated coating formed on the irradiated area in a predetermined pattern; forming an electrophoretic coating on the surface of the electroplated coating by an electrophoresis process; and forming a paint coating on the inner surface of the substrate. A housing made by the present method is provided.
