Abstract: An outer package material for power storage devices, the outer package material being composed of a multilayer body which sequentially includes at least a base material layer, a barrier layer and a thermally fusible resin layer in this order, wherein: the barrier layer contains an aluminum alloy foil that has a composition containing 0.2% by mass to 2.0% by mass of Fe and 0.1% by mass to 5.0% by mass of Mg; the thermally fusible resin layer is composed of a single layer or a plurality of layers; and a first thermally fusible resin layer that forms a surface of the multilayer body among the thermally fusible resin layers has a logarithmic decrement ΔE of 0.25 or less at 140° C. as determined by rigid pendulum measurement.

Abstract: A cell phone frame, and a method for manufacturing the same, includes a composite plate. The composite plate encloses an accommodation space for accommodating the cell phone. The composite plate includes a first plate and a second plate, a first side surface of the first plate having striations. The first side surface of the second plate and the first side surface of the first plate are rolled to connect, and the striations of which adjacent ones have a pitch of 0.005 mm to 0.03 mm account for more than 90% of all the striations.

Abstract: The disclosure provides co-extruded, multi-layer films, including metallized barrier films and non-barrier films, and articles of manufacture that include the films, such as flexible bags and containers for flowable materials. The films and articles that include the films have good heat retention, and barrier properties, as well as good flex-crak resistance and toughness. The films and articles that include the films have a metallized barrier core layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer wherein both the metal and EVOH are in amounts that achieve the heat retention, flex-crack resistance, toughness, and barrier properties, while allowing for the recycling of the films and articles of manufacture.

Abstract: A method for joining quartz pieces using metallic aluminum as the joining element. The aluminum may be placed between two quartz pieces and the assembly may be heated in the range of 500 C to 650 C. The joining atmosphere may be non-oxygenated. A method for the joining of quartz pieces which may include barrier layers on the quartz pieces. The barrier layers may be impervious to aluminum diffusion and may be of a metal oxide or metal nitride. The quartz pieces with the barrier layers may then be joined at temperatures higher than 650 C and less than 1200 C. A device such as an RF antenna or electrode in support of semiconductor processing using joined quartz pieces wherein the aluminum joining layer which has joined the pieces and also functions as antenna electrode.

Abstract: Provided herein are an aluminum can end stock (CES) and methods for producing CES. The CES includes a laminated metal strip having a polymer film coating and beneficially exhibiting low feathering, low hairing, and high abrasion resistance. The laminated metal strip can include the laminated polymer coating on an exterior-facing side and a lacquered coating on an interior-facing side. The CES is formed by laminating a polymer film to a side of the metal strip and annealing the laminated metal strip. In some cases, the polymer film laminated to the metal strip is a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, which may be colored.

The method includes receiving a desired alloy composition for the object, depositing a plurality of foils in a stack to form the object, applying heat to the stack at a first temperature to bond the plurality of foils to each other, and applying heat to the stack at a second temperature to homogenize the composition of the stack. The homogenized stack has the desired alloy composition.
