摘要： A method of manufacturing an image display medium for encapsulating powdered display elements uniformly between opposed substrates, and an image display medium. Spacer particles are formed in a grid pattern on a first flat substrate pulled out from a first film roll by a first electrostatic application apparatus, and spacers are formed on the first flat substrate by fixing by a first fixer. Then, black particles are applied on the entire surface by a second electrostatic application apparatus, and then white particles are applied on the entire surface by a third electrostatic application apparatus. Subsequently, black particles and white particles are removed from each upper surface of the spacers by a blade, and a second flat substrate pulled out from a second film roll is superimposed thereon, and each upper surface of the spacers is fixed to the second flat substrate by a second fixer.

摘要： An image displaying apparatus, a method for displaying an image and an image displaying medium can provide an image of a large viewing angle and high stability of the particles upon repeated use. On electronic paper containing a display substrate formed of a hole transporting film, a non-display substrate formed of a film having a two-layer structure containing a charge transporting film having formed thereon an electrode layer having a thickness of about 50 &mgr;m, and conductive black particles and insulating white particles contained therebetween, an electric field is generated at a position corresponding to image data by a recording head, so as to move the black particles attached to the entire surface of the display substrate toward the non-display substrate, whereby an image of contrast of black and white is formed on the display substrate.

摘要： A method for manufacturing an image displaying medium is provided in that a display element in the form of powder can be filled between facing substrates. After patterning spacer particles on a first flat substrate supplied from a first film roller set on a first roller shaft by a first electrostatic coating device, they are fixed by a first fixing device to form a spacer on the first flat substrate, and then black particles are coated, on the entire surface by a second electrostatic coating device. After coating white particles thereon by a third electrostatic coating device, the black particles and the white particles on the upper part of the spacer are removed by a blade, and a second flat substrate supplied from a second film roller set on a second roller shaft is superimposed, followed by fixing the upper part of the spacer and the second flat substrate by a second fixing device.

摘要： A method of forming a reversible color image of forming a multi color image to a reversible heat sensitive color recording medium in which recording layers each containing independently a plurality kinds of reversible heat color forming compositions having tone of formed color and color erasure starting temperature different from each other are formed on a support, the method comprising forming colors of all the compositions in the initial state and heating the color formed compositions not imagewise at different temperatures thereby erasing the color of the composition (recording layer 2). The color image can be formed simply and rapidly at a high energy efficiency.

Exposing unit exposes the photoconductive layer to write image into the light-controlling layer. Gradation control unit modulates the output light of the exposing unit on the basis of a signal indicative of the multi-level density of the image to be written, thereby controlling the light transmittance of the light-controlling layer.

The photoconductive switching element has at least a light transmissible electrode layer, a charge generation layer, a charge transfer layer, and a charge generation layer laminated in this order on a light transmissible substrate. The photoconductive switching element is combined with a functional element to form a device of the present invention, and the device is incorporated in an apparatus or a recording apparatus to fabricate an apparatus or a recording apparatus respectively of the present invention. In the recording method of the present invention, such a recording apparatus is used.
