摘要： An ink-jet recording apparatus may include a recording head comprising an ejection surface, a first wall configured to oppose the ejection surface, and a second wall configured to enclose surroundings of the ejection surface. The ink-jet recording apparatus may include a first wall moving unit which is configured to move the first wall between a first position and a second position. The ink-jet recording apparatus may include a second wall moving unit which is configured to move the second wall between a third position and a fourth position. An attitude of the first wall positioned at the second position and an attitude of the first wall at the first position are different. The first wall positioned at the first position and the second wall positioned at the third position form a closed space which covers the ejection port.

摘要： A liquid ejection apparatus is provided. The liquid ejection apparatus includes two line-type heads, each of which includes an ejection surface having a plurality of ejection ports for ejecting liquid to a recording medium; and two covers provided for the two heads, respectively, and each of the covers being movable relative the corresponding head between a protection position where the cover covers the ejection surface of the corresponding head and a retraction position where the cover does not cover the ejection surface of the corresponding head. Each of the heads includes a first side close to a head other than the corresponding head and a second side away from the head other than the corresponding head. The retraction position of each of the covers is located at the second side of the corresponding head.

摘要： A tape printer includes a holder support member at one side end in a roll sheet holder storage part in a direction substantially perpendicular to a feeding direction. In the holder support member, a mounting piece which is substantially rectangular in section and formed protruding outward on a positioning holding member of a roll sheet holder is fitted. The tape printer further includes a flat portion formed substantially horizontally between a rear edge of an insertion opening through which a roll sheet is inserted into the tape printer. On the flat portion, a front portion of a guide member is placed. At a rear edge of the flat portion in the feeding direction, at plural positions corresponding to various kinds of the roll sheets having different widths, there are formed four second positioning grooves in which part of the guide member is fitted.

A discrimination recess rectangular in plan view is provided between the positioning recess and an inner base end of a holder support member). The discrimination recess fittingly receives a sheet discrimination part extending in a predetermined length from a lower end of the positioning holding member inward at substantially right angle thereto. The sheet discrimination part is formed with sensor holes arranged in an L-shaped pattern. In the discrimination recess, there are provided sheet discrimination sensors arranged in an L-shaped pattern.
