摘要: A subdivision data holding unit holds data of transmission power Pi and traffic intensity Ai of each subdivision. A propagation associated data holding unit holds data used for calculating received power, such as the height above the ground of antennas of the base stations and mobile stations. A received power calculating unit reads necessary data from the subdivision data holding unit and propagation associated data holding unit, and calculates the received power. A traffic calculating unit calculates the means Sm and variances Sv of the traffic at the base stations from the data calculated by the received power calculating unit. A performance calculating unit calculates the performance such as the blocking probability from the means Sm and variances Sv calculated by the traffic calculating unit and from the threshold value T provided by the threshold value generator, and outputs the results.

摘要: In a CDMA reception apparatus, averaging part for averaging at least one of vector, amplitude and power of received signal of a plurality of transmit power control sections is provided. Further, propagation path variation estimator for estimating a propagation path variation of the present transmit power control section from respective transmit power control sections in the past to obtain a propagation path variation estimation value and propagation path variation correction part (multiplier) for correcting by the propagation path variation estimation value are further provided, wherein the averaging part averages at least one of vector, amplitude and power of received signal of the plurality of transmit power control sections corrected by the propagation path variation correction part (multiplier). With this configuration, the measurement accuracy is improved by measuring received signal power using a plurality of slots including past slots, resulting in more accurate transmit power control.

摘要: A conventional link budget technique has not been fully applicable to a link design of a downlink in CDMA systems, which is now available by using both a power level of a radio channel in question and a total power level, which can be further refined by considering an orthogonality factor and an interference coefficient due to other base stations.

摘要: An optical waveguide device is disclosed that includes a lower clad layer of a polymer resin material formed on a substrate, a core of a polymer resin material formed on the lower clad layer, and an upper clad layer of a polymer resin material covering the core. The core surrounded by the lower and upper clad layers forms an optical waveguide. The core has first and second opposing surfaces, the first surface facing the lower clad layer and the second surface facing away from the lower clad layer. The core is shaped so that the width of the first surface is greater than the width of the second surface in a cross section of the core.

摘要: A control method of searching for a neighboring cell of a mobile station communicating with a base station is provided in a direct sequence CDMA mobile communication system which transmits information by carrying out double modulation using a first spreading code group and a second spreading code. The first spreading code group includes spreading codes that have a same repetition period as an information symbol period and are used in common by the base stations, and the second spreading code has a repetition period longer than the information symbol period. The base stations are assigned different second spreading codes. The control method stores at least one second spreading code and its phase into a first table, which second spreading code corresponds to a perch channel whose second spreading code and phase are known; stores a second spreading code used by a neighboring base station into a second table; searches for a perch channel whose second spreading code and phase are unknown; and searches for a perch channel whose second spreading code and phase are known. The neighboring cell search method can save the power consumption and time required for the mobile station to carry out the cell search with preventing an increase in the total cost of the system.

摘要: A decision is made as to whether a radio base station acting as an interference source is present in a macrocell or microcell, so that the interference from a mobile station transmitting high power can be presented in advance. The base station inserts its transmission power value of a forward broadcast channel into broadcast information. A newly installed base station C, receiving a forward frequency band, measures the received level of the broadcast channel, and captures the transmission power value. When the transmission power value is large, the threshold value is reduced (THRb), and when the transmission power value is small, the threshold value is increased (THRa). If the received level L is less than the threshold value, a decision is made that the channel is available.

摘要: A front chassis and a rear chassis of an electronic camera are made of light transmissible resin. The electronic camera has a plurality of light-shielding elements to prevent unnecessary light (external ambient light and internally emitted light, for example) from entering optical systems such as taking lenses and light guides which guide light to an electronic flash control sensor. Further, the shielding elements prevent unnecessary light from entering photoelectric converters such as imaging devices and electronic flash control sensors. These light shielding elements enables the interior components of the camera to be visible therethrough, while ensuring that operational functions of the electronic camera are not adversely affected by entering unnecessary light.
