摘要： A portion of a steering shaft 2 capable of being advanced and retracted defines a ball screw shaft 2a of a ball screw mechanism 13. A motor rotor 10 of an electrically driven motor 8 for providing a steering assist force is externally mounted on a rotary nut 14. Mounting of the motor rotor 10 onto the rotary nut 14 is carried out so that the both can be adjustably aligned. By way of example, the rotary nut 14 has an outer peripheral surface formed with an annular protrusion 33 of a arcuate longitudinal sectional shape, having a surface thereof formed with a plurality of axially extending surface indentations 33a arranged side by side in a direction circumferentially of the rotary nut 14.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a transporter for transporting a transfer medium to a plurality of image forming stations for transferring images in sequence onto the transfer medium. Each of the plurality of image forming stations has a recording medium onto which a transferred image is formed, an image forming device for forming the image on the recording medium, and a detector for detecting a state of the image formed on the recording medium. A controller operates in first and second modes, wherein the first mode operating conditions of the image forming device are determined based on a detected state of the image formed on the recording medium, and wherein in the second mode, the image forming device is controlled based on the operating conditions determined in the first mode. The controller operates each image forming device in the plurality of image forming stations simultaneously during first mode, and operates the image forming devices in sequence, at predetermined time intervals, during the second mode.

摘要： A front body structure forms an engine compartment in front of which a flat heat exchanger, provided with a pair of cooling fan units projecting lengthwise and rearward therefrom and transversely arranged with a space therebetween, is positioned. The front body structure includes a front body frame structure, defining opposite side walls of the engine compartment, and a front end frame structure, defining a front end wall of the engine compartment, which includes an upper front cross member extending transversely between the side walls so as to form an upper front end of the engine compartment. Stay members extend downward from the upper front cross member and are arranged so that a space between adjacent stay members is formed for receiving a cooling fan unit. A lower front cross member, extending transversely of the car body between the opposite side walls, forms a lower front end of the engine compartment.

摘要： A color film reading apparatus capable of generating high-gradation color signals from either a color negative or positive film includes a holding device for holding a color negative film, illuminating apparatus for projecting illumination light onto the color negative film, a reading unit for reading image data from the light projected through the color negative film, and shading circuitry for performing shading correction. Control circuitry controls the reading unit to cause the reading unit to raed data from an unexposed portion of the negative to obtain shading correction data. In the case of a positive film, the controlling circuitry sets the shading correction data on the basis of data obtained from the illumination light. Further, a high-gradation color image may be obtained from either a film original or a reflection from an original document.
