A vehicular AC generator comprising a pair of cores included in a rotor and supported by a rotating shaft, a plurality of trapezoidal-shaped claws as magnetic poles protruding on the outer periphery edges of the pair of cores, and a pair of fans attached to the front side and the rear side of the cores, at least one of the fans having an outer diameter in the range between 85% and 96% of the outer diameter of each of the cores, each of the claws having a tapered portion for gradually decreasing the outer diameter of a shoulder portion of the claw in the direction toward the end surface of the core so that the outer diameter of at least one of the cores faced to the at least one of the fans becomes substantially the same as the outer diameter of the at least one of the fans, whereby the sound caused by cutting wind by the rotation of the centrifugal fans can be reduced without deteriorating the cooling efficiency of the coil ends of the stator.

The motion circuit of the present invention is an on-board driver circuit which is composed of polycrystal silicon semiconductor layers formed on a substrate, and which is provided with a first latch circuit for latching one of a normal phase and reverse phase clock signals having a clock skew using a clock signal and for outputting it to a shift register, and a second latch circuit for latching the other one of the normal phase and reverse phase clock signals using a clock signal and for outputting to the shift register. The latch operations of the first and second latch circuits are timed to make the two clock signals have reverse polarities. Consequently, it is realized to provide a motion circuit performing stable circuit operations without malfunctions, by preventing the occurrence of the fail phenomenon due to a skew between the normal phase and reverse phase clock signals which drive the shift register. It is also realized to provide an on-board driver circuit for a liquid crystal display panel by employing the motion circuit.

An alternator for motor vehicles having a housing for holding a stator between front and rear brackets comprising side mounting sections formed integrally with the front and rear brackets and having mounting holes to be directly mounted to an engine by mounting tools, wherein each mounting hole comprises at least three U-groove holes formed by a trimming die, provided through in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction of a rotary shaft of the alternator, and are opened in the same axial direction as the rotary shaft, the three holes being opened alternately in opposite directions one by one; and wherein at least one of the side mounting sections has positioning holes for positioning circumferentially the front and rear brackets provided through the mounting holes in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. Since the alternator has the mounting holes of superior vibration resistance formed by the trimming die in a casting, the number of working steps of the housing may be reduced and any defect in the manufacturing of the positioning holes associated with the mounting holes is prevented. As a result, the quality of the housing is improved.
