    Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques are described for communication node scanning and association in a wireless communication network. An illustrative method includes receiving, via a first channel, identifying information that identify a plurality of communication nodes that are configured to communicate via at least a second channel. The illustrative method further includes initiating communication, via at least the second channel, with a communication node based, at least in part, on the identifying information.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a method and system for accessing a wireless channel. An access point transmits a radio frame including access parameters of at least one group of stations (STAs); and when receiving the radio frame, an STA belonging to the at least one group of STAs transmits data to be transmitted competitively within an uplink transmission period in the access parameters according to the access parameters of the group of STAs. With the disclosure, system overhead can be reduced while low power consumption of a station is ensured.

    Abstract: In a heterogeneous wireless network that includes a macro base station and one or more micro base stations, a wireless device to wirelessly transmit, in a first time slot at a first position in a first transmission subframe, data over a first physical communication channel. An ACK/NACK control message is received over a backhaul network connection a first time period after the first time slot. A response message is transmitted to the wireless device such that when the control message is received prior to the second time slot, then the response message uses data reception information from the control message and when the control message is not received prior to the second time slot, then the response message indicates that the data was successfully received.
