Abstract: In a terminal, in a slot having allocated thereto both an uplink control channel (PUCCH) and an uplink channel (PUSCH) that includes uplink data, in a case where the difference between the power spectrum density (PSD) of the PUCCH and the PSD of the PUSCH is greater than a threshold value (permitted difference), a control unit drops symbols of the PUSCH in a transmission interval for the PUSCH overlapping with a transmission interval for the PUCCH. A transmission unit transmits at least the PUCCH in the slot.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a reception method in broadcast and broadband cooperation service, the reception method includes: receiving broadcast content transmitted through broadcast; receiving acquisition information through the broadcast, the acquisition information being information used to play back broadband content transmitted through broadband while the broadband content is synchronized with the received broadcast content, the acquisition information being information relating to acquisition of the broadband content; and acquiring the broadband content based on the received acquisition information. Therefore, the broadband content can properly be acquired in response to the reception of the broadcast content.

Abstract: An image encoder includes circuitry and a memory, wherein the circuitry, in operation, determines whether inter prediction is to be applied to a current block; in response to determining that the inter prediction is to be applied to the current block, performs a partition prediction process; and, in response to determining that the inter prediction is not to be applied, encodes the current block without using the partition prediction process. The partition prediction process includes predicting first values of a set of pixels between a first partition and a second partition in the current block, using a first motion vector for the first partition; predicting second values of the set of pixels, using a second motion vector for the second partition; weighting the first values and the second values; and generating a prediction image for the current block using the weighted first values and the weighted second values.

Abstract: An encoder includes circuitry and memory coupled to the circuitry. Given id indicating a lower temporal sublayer other than a highest temporal sublayer in temporal sublayers, the circuitry calculates a DPB output time [id] for a picture in the lower temporal sublayer. In doing so, the circuitry of the encoder subtracts a DPB output delta [id] provided for each of the temporal sublayers from a DPB output delay shared between the temporal sublayers, and given maxid indicating the highest temporal sublayer, calculates the DPB output delta [id] by subtracting a CPB removal delay [maxid] and an offset [id] from a CPB removal delay [id]. Next, the circuitry stores the offset [id] in a bitstream.

In residual coding of a current block, the circuitry, in operation, encodes a subblock flag by Context-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC) in both of a first type of residual coding where an orthogonal transform is performed and a second type of residual coding where the orthogonal transform is skipped, the subblock flag indicating whether a non-zero coefficient is included in a plurality of coefficients for a subblock within the current block, wherein a first syntax used for the first type of residual coding is different from a second syntax used for the second type of residual coding; and controls a number of CABAC processes, wherein the encoding of the subblock flag is not counted as the number of CABAC processes.

Abstract: A transmitting method stores data making up a coded stream into a predetermined data unit and transmits the stored data in the predetermined data unit. The transmitting method further generates presentation time information indicating a presentation time of the predetermined data unit, based on reference time information received from an external source; and transmits the predetermined data unit, first control information which includes the generated presentation time information, and second control information which includes leap second information indicating whether or not the presentation time information is a time that is before a leap second adjustment. A receiving method receives the predetermined data unit, first control information, and second control information; and reproduces the received predetermined data unit based on the first and second control information that are received.
