Abstract:
A multi-ply absorbent sheet of cellulosic fiber with continuous outer surfaces is provided an absorbent core between the outer surfaces. The absorbent core includes a non-woven fiber network having: (i) a plurality of pileated fiber enriched regions of relatively high local basis weight interconnected by way of (ii) a plurality of lower local basis weight linking regions whose fiber orientation is biased along the direction between pileated regions interconnected thereby, and (iii) a plurality of fiber-deprived cellules between the fiber enriched and linking regions, also being characterized by a local basis weight lower than the fiber enriched regions. The cellules provide a sponge-like internal structure of low fiber density regions.

Abstract:
An apparatus for providing a printed and textured web substrate is disclosed. The apparatus has a printing apparatus and an apparatus for imparting elastic-like behavior. The printing apparatus has at least one rotatable ink roller for transferring an ink to the web substrate. The apparatus for imparting elastic-like behavior has a pair of intermeshing rollers capable of providing at least a portion of the web substrate with an elastic-like behavior.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to embossed tissue-towel paper products comprising one or more plies of tissue paper wherein at least one of the plies of tissue paper comprises a plurality of embossments wherein the at least one embossed plies have a total embossed area less than or equal to about 15% and an average embossment height of at least about 650 μm and E factor of between about 0.0150 to about 1.0000 inches4 per number of embossments.

Abstract:
A method of embossing an absorbent web with a machine direction undulatory structure is described. The web has a plurality of ridges extending in its machine direction occurring at a frequency, F, across the web and the method includes providing the web to an embossing station where the web is embossed between a first and second embossing roll, each of which rolls may be provided with a plurality of embossing elements configured to define a plurality of embossing nips. At least a portion of the embossing nips are substantially oriented in a cross-machine direction with respect to the web and have a cross direction length, L. The product F×L is from about 0.1 to about 5.
Abstract:
A device for satinizing and simultaneously embossing flat materials that includes at least two embossing rolls. One roll is connected to a driving system. The rolls are adapted to be driven individually or in common and are adapted to be resiliently applied against each other. Pyramidal or conical teeth of the rolls have flattened tips. The teeth of at least one roll are shaped so as to produce embossed signs in corresponding locations of the passing flat material so that the appearance of the embossed signs changes according to at least one of a viewing angle of the observer, a kind, and the position of the lighting source.
Abstract:
Multi-ply fibrous structure products, more specifically embossed multi-ply fibrous structure products and methods for making same are provided.
