摘要： A pet head rest that is attachable to the top edge of an automobile passenger side or driver side window. The head rest provides a cushioned support for a dog to rest its head when extending same outside of the automobile window. The head rest includes an elongate U-shaped cushioned body having opposing ends and a pair of generally parallel side edges which extend between opposing ends and extend the entire length of the cushion body to define a slot opening for receiving the top edge of the automobile window. A clipping mechanism is provided for biasing the side edges of the cushion body inwardly for releasably mounting the head rest to the top edge of the automobile window.

摘要： An improved vehicle headrest includes a bead between a plastic sleeve and a cloth facing. The cloth is bonded to the plastic sleeve such that an exposed face of the cloth is quickly and reliably connected to the plastic sleeve. The plastic sleeve is then filled with a foam and a positioning post. The inventive headrest is formed by initially placing the cloth material on positioning structure in an anvil. The plastic sleeve has been previously rotationally molded, and is slid onto the anvil and over the cloth material. A dielectric bar is then brought into contact with the plastic sleeve, and a bead is formed. As the bead is formed, a cutting blade cuts the plastic material inwardly of the bead. The cut portion of the sleeve is removed exposing the cloth material. A "RF" compatible barrier layer is formed on a rear face of the cloth material and prevents foam from reaching the exposed forward face.

摘要： A headrest for a vehicle seat having a backrest is provided which has a head cushion fastened to two supporting rods and two side pieces which are integrated in the head cushion. In the in-use position, the side pieces project laterally on the head cushion beyond its cushion front and, in the not-in-use position are accommodated inside the contour of the head cushion. For implementing a headrest of a compact minimum size and an aesthetically attractive shape which optimally meets the demands made on a headrest with respect to the driving operation and the resting phase, each side piece is swivellably disposed on a vertical tube section which, in turn, is fastened on a supporting rod so that it can be swivelled about a swivel shaft extending transversely thereto. Using an upper and lower cross traverse, the two tube sections are fixedly connected with one another and each carry a cushion enlargement of the head cushion. The side pieces are constructed in such a manner using a parallelepiped-shaped basic cushion body and a padded wedge piece continuing therefrom in one piece that, in their not-in-use position, they cover one another and end flush with the front and rear side of the cushion enlargements.

A soft body structure has a central portion comprising an upper, intermediate and lower section and a pair of flanking padded wing portions secured to the upper central portion and having a fold seam at the junction with the upper central portion. The intermediate central portion has a pair of flanking tab portions each provided with a fastener strip, and the lower central portion terminates in a pair of leg portions separated by a gap. The upper side edges of the lower central portion are provided with a plurality of fastener strips. A plurality of fastener tabs are attached to the lower edge of each wing portion in order to provide adjustment in three dimensions of the relative attitudes of the wing portions in the central body portion. The support can be used in a folded attitude or an upstanding attitude, depending on the size of the child.

摘要： A method of molding a headrest of automotive seat comprises the following steps. First, a bag shaped flexible outer skin member is prepared, has an elongate slit formed therethrough. A part of a stay member is inserted into the outer skin member through the slit and set relative to the outer skin member. A given biasing force is applied to longitudinal ends of the slit so that the slit is stretched in longitudinally opposed directions and thus caused to take a closed position. Then, an injection nozzle of a foamable material feeder is put into the slit by expanding the slit against the biasing force. A foamable material is poured into the outer skin member, and the material feeding is stopped when a given amount of material is fed to the outer skin member. The application of the biasing force to the slit is continued until the material is sufficiently cured.

摘要： A headrest to be installed to a seat back of an automotive seat. The headrest comprises a generally bag-shaped outer skin including a surface section which has first and second end edge portions. The first end edge portion includes a first part integral with the surface section, and a second part integral with the first part and generally parallel with the surface section. A slit is defined between the first part of the first end edge portion and the second end edge portion. The headrest is produced by a process including the following steps: (a) bending the first end edge portion inward of the surface section so that the second part of the first end edge portion is generally parallel with the surface section; (b) forming first insertion holes in the second part of the first end edge portion and second insertion holes in the surface section; (b) inserting headrest stays of a frame inside the bag-shaped outer skin through the slit formed; (d) inserting each headrest stay into each first insertion hole and each second insertion hole so that the head rest stay is projected out of the surface section; (e) disposing the bag-shaped outer skin inside a foaming-fabrication mold; and (f) pouring a raw material of a foam material through the slit into the bag-shaped outer skin so that the second end edge portion is brought into contact with the first part of the first end edge portion so as to tightly close the slit.

摘要： A motor-vehicle headrest has a hollow housing having a front face and a back face, at least one mounting rod seated in the housing and adapted to be secured to a motor-vehicle seat back, and a body of soft cushion material on the front housing face. The back face is formed with a peripheral backwardly open groove and is substantially free of cushioning. A flexible cover sheet overlies the cushion body and has an outer edge engaged in the groove. A stiff rear cover has a forwardly directed rim tightly fitted in the groove and retains the cover edge therein. The housing is formed of a pair of joined-together cup-shaped parts. The groove is formed with teeth engaging and holding the cover-sheet edge.
