摘要： The present invention is directed to a system and method for connecting attachments to a vehicle including in a first embodiment a bumper guard that provides a barrier of protection for vehicle bumpers. The bumper guard includes two pieces, a first piece or bumper guard locator and a second piece or bottom piece. The first piece is attached to a vehicle through the lower holes in a license plate and is secured or locked in place using a locking mechanism. The second piece attaches, or depends from the first piece and is dimensioned and configured to rest over a bumper of the vehicle. The second piece is removably connected to the first piece and may be replaced when damaged or worn. Alternatively, in a second embodiment of the invention, the second piece may be a different component such as a “tailgating platform tray”, or other component module that attaches to a “T” locking system. The bumper guard or platform tray can be easily attached to the vehicle, stored and removed.

摘要： A faux vehicle bumper component includes an elongated body panel having a pair of receivers or connectors at spaced apart locations therealong adapted to engage a pair of spikes or prongs from a tow bar connecting system protruding generally from the grill area of an associated vehicle to be towed. The receivers or connectors are adjustably secured to the body panel in order to accommodate different or varied spacings of the spikes or prongs and/or different types and styles of vehicles. Releasable fasteners are used for selectively securing the associated spikes or prongs to the receivers or connectors. Installation of the faux bumper component eliminates a potentially hazardous condition that exists when the spikes or prongs are exposed during a non towed condition of the vehicle.

摘要： A bracket for mounting a front license plate to an automotive vehicle that does not have an integrally designed and designated front license plate mounting location embodied as part of the front exterior of the vehicle that includes an associated integral license plate mounting mechanism, but does have existing, integral apertures in the body of the vehicle located behind and below the front grille of the vehicle which are used to secure a body panel to the vehicle. The bracket has a detachable body having a mounting surface adapted to receive a license plate, two arms that attach to the body and extend from the rear of the body. The two arms can attach to the body in either of two distinct positions, either with the top of the body facing up or with the top of the body facing down. The arms attach to the front of the vehicle body, without any modifications to the vehicle or drilling any holes into the vehicle, by means of fasteners that pass through apertures in the arms and are received by the existing, integral apertures located in the body of the vehicle behind and below the front grille of the vehicle.

摘要： A module unit is to be mounted to the exterior surface of a trunk door or rear door of a vehicle for displaying a license plate. Without requiring a key or special tool, the module unit protects the license plate from being removed by an un-authorized person. The license plate can only be removed when a locking unit in the module unit is unlocked by activating a release unit from the interior side of vehicle. Such a module unit also protects the annual registration stickers from being removed by an un-authorized person.
