摘要： A lighting system enables a lighting pattern to be displayed on a vehicle when the vehicle is in motion. A lighting pattern may include lights that fluctuate (with respect to luminosity) or lights that stay on at the same luminosity. The length of time that a light, such as an LED lamp, is powered on may vary. Similarly, the amount of time between two adjacent lights are powered off and powered on may also vary. As such, the lighting sequence is flexible and can be customized so that all lights are not on for the same length of time and the time between two lights being powered may vary. A vehicle front alert system allows for improved perception of speed of an approaching vehicle, human, or object.

摘要： Systems and methods for IR readable transmissive and reflective displays are disclosed that do not suffer from a mirror-like appearance or undesirable dimming of the display due to sequential stacks of polarizers. The disclosed systems and methods use available IR LEDs in addition to, or in place of, visible light LEDs. An illuminator or integrator, which is a lightguide, is designed to maintain the polarization state of the light. The display can use a regular visible light, front polarizer and hence does not suffer from brightness reduction caused by an IR capable polarizer. A digital license plate application comprising a reflective liquid crystal display with a front light, which includes polarized IR illumination, is also disclosed.

摘要： Licence plates with a data medium and a slot antenna have low transmission and reception performance for electromagnetic waves as a rule. Moreover, the positioning of the slot antenna is severely limited by an inscription on the licence plate. The invention provides a licence plate with a data medium and an antenna with improved transmission power and at the same time sufficient space for the positioning of the antenna. This is achieved by a licence plate body of the licence plate having at least one cavity, and a front of the licence plate body or a coating of the front of the licence plate body covering the cavity comprises a slot structure forming the antenna.

摘要： An autonomous flip-up license plate mount for motorcycles that improves the aesthetics of a motorcycle while ensuring a license plate is properly displayed during use of the motorcycle. The mount includes a first mounting plate, a second mounting plate, an automatic pivoting mechanism, and a hinge mechanism. A first end of the first mounting plate is connected along the hinge mechanism. Additionally, the hinge mechanism is connected along a rear surface of the second mounting plate, allowing for relative rotation about a main axis of the hinge mechanism. The automatic picoting mechanism includes a servomotor and a control linkage. The servomotor is adjacently mounted to the first mounting plate with the control linkage being mechanically engaged in between the servomotor and the second mounting plate. Activation of the servomotor positions the mount into either a functional configuration or a collapsed configuration.

摘要： A system, apparatus and method for secure vehicle sharing comprising a computerized client device in the form of a mountable vehicle license plate frame (SLPF) 117 enabled for wireless communication and connection to a wide area network 101 including a server 103. The SLPF 117 device has a processor with an instance of the software 105 executing from memory thereon, Global Positioning System (GPS) capability, power source, and a locking key compartment. The SLPF 117 device may be easily mounted, after market, to the vehicles of registered vehicle owners 107. The server may track time of use, vehicle mileage and vehicle location while the vehicle renter is operating the vehicle. Upon completion of vehicle use, the renter replaces the key or other item in the locking compartment, sends notification of completion of use to the server which then completes a financial transaction between the renter and owner.
