    摘要: A vibratory milling machine has a vibratory housing confined to substantially linear reciprocating motion relative to a base, causing a tool carried by the housing to impact a mineral formation or other work piece substantially in a primary milling direction. The vibratory motion may be generated by two or more eccentrically-weighted rotors rotated by a common drive mechanism. The rotors may be arranged in pairs with the rotors of each pair rotating in opposite directions about parallel axes so that lateral oscillations cancel and longitudinal vibrations in the milling direction reinforce one another. In one embodiment, a hydrostatic fluid bearing is provided between the outer surface of each rotor and the housing.

    摘要: A mineral or other materials working machine or implement has an adjustable mounting means for a mineral or other materials working tool. Means is provided for adjusting said mounting means to cause said tool to penetrate or be set into a mineral or other materials face, by a predetermined amount so that as the tool is moved therealong a web or lamina of mineral or other material is removed from said face. Means is also provided for adjusting said mounting means to set the angle of attack of the tool on the mineral or other materials face. The two tool-mounting adjusting means are interconnected so that an adjustment of the mounting means to alter the angle of attack of the tool does not materially alter said predetermined penetration or setting of the tool into the mineral or other materials face. In one preferred embodiment adjustment of the mounting means to set the angle of attack of the tool takes place angularly about a working point or edge of the tool. The means interconnecting the two tool-mounting adjusting means may comprise a lever-and-link system the effective dimensions of which are selected, in relation to the tip, point or edge of a chisel or like tool, so as to provide for adjustment of the angle of attack of the tool whilst substantially maintaining the predetermined penetration or setting of it into the mineral or materials face. A pressurefluid ram, for causing the tool to penetrate or be set into the mineral or other materials face by a predetermined amount, may form an element in said lever-and-link system.

    摘要: A mining or excavating machine comprises a carriage or selfpropelled vehicle having mounted on it an extensible and maneuverable boom which carries a pressure fluid operated impact tool for breaking down or excavating mineral or other material. The machine also includes a conveyor which is attached to the carriage or vehicle and has a portion which is positioned in front of the carriage or vehicle, so as to collect material mined or excavated by the impact tool, and a portion which extends rearwardly alongside the carriage or vehicle and is adapted to convey the collected material. A pressure fluid ram or rams may be provided for advancing, relatively to the carriage, the portion of the conveyor which is positioned in front of the carriage or vehicle so that said portion will pick-up or collect material on a mine floor ahead of the machine.
