    摘要: A heat exchange has a main body and a drive shaft in the main body. There is a motor to drive the drive shaft. A rotor is mounted on the drive shaft and has a central hub. Pairs of spaced blades extend radially from the hub to an outer chamber, attached to the outer ends of the blades. There are openings in the hub to communicate a blade with the hub interior and openings in the outer chamber communicating the outer chamber with a blade. There are closure plates at each end of the main body having pairs of inlet/outlet openings. A valve plate between the rotor and each end plate defines gas pathways between on opening and a first end plate and another opening in the second end plate. There are two gas pathways through the apparatus. In the first pathway gas enters an inlet in the first end plate, passes through a valve plate, over the blades of the rotor, through a second valve plate to an outlet of the second end plate. In the other pathway gas enters an inlet in the second end plate, passes through the second valve plate, into the blades, into the chamber, downwardly through the second set of blades, through a second valve plate and out through an outlet in the end plate.

    摘要: A multi-cooler housing for compressing systems has a rectilinear box like structure having an inlet and a discharge outlet and means between said inlet and discharge outlet forming a plurality of complex cavities and flow channels or passages which provide cooling or conditioning loops for fluid introduced or lead from the associated compressing system to the various flow channels of the multi-cooler housing. The cooling or conditioning loops are characterized by the fact that they lie one within the other, so as to permit compressed air or gas to be passed through the multi-cooler housing a plurality of times. The cooling or conditioning loops are formed by a corresponding plurality of common walls in the housing so that the longest and outermost cooling or conditioning loop will receive compressed air at the lowest pressure and the innermost cooling or conditioning loop will receive compressed air at the highest pressure. Additionally, the structure of the multi-cooler housing disclosed may incorporate a lubricant sump and flow passages for lubricant used in the compressing systems, its gear train and accessories.

    摘要: A low weight compact assembly consisting of a multi-stage inline centrifugal compressor with driving means including, a compound epicyclic gear train having three double star gears and a multi-cooler housing which acts as a support base for the compressor, gear train, driving means and accessories therefor and as an intercooler for the first and intermediate compression stages of the compressor, an aftercooler and has cooling means for lubricant more particularly lubricant used in the compressor. Additionally, a multi-stage in-line centrifugal compressor having a casing with a cylindrical bore for mounting a cartridge assembly, the casing having annular channels in the wall to serve as flow passages between the cartridge and the multi-stage cooler, each of the annular channels ending in a rectangular slot provided in a mounting flange on the casing which serves to connect the compressor to the multi-cooler housing. Additionally, a compressor having a casing and a cartridge to be mounted in said casing wherein the cartridge has a rotor supported by a single line and thurst bearing at one end and by three double star gears of the compound epicyclic gear train which engage a sun gear at the end of the rotor remote from the main bearing, the three double star gears being formed so as to distribute the load equally between the three double star gears. The rotor may have a guide bearing outboard of sun gear for assemblies at higher capacities. Additionally, a compound epicyclic gear train having three double star gears wherein the three double star gears are specially formed and indexed to the low speed internal ring gear and to the sun gear connected to the rotor shaft so that the compound epicyclic gear train is adapted to provide gear rotios in excess of 1:11-which is the approximate limit for simple three star gear trains-and is capable of taking reasonable misalignment between the drive motor and the driven compressor without interfering with the required alignment of the remaining elements of the eipcyclic gear and the rotor mounted and/or centered in the cartridge.

    摘要: A turbo-machine arrangement having a compressor section comprising a compressor shaft, an electric machine having a shaft, the compressor shaft is coaxial to the shaft. The compressor shaft is coupled to the electric machine shaft. The electric machine and compressor section are arranged in a common housing and mounted via bearings. The housing having a supply line via which uncompressed working medium is supplied, a discharge line, via which compressed working medium is discharged, and an ejector, supplied via a first connection with working medium at a first pressure level for drawing in working medium at a lower second pressure level via a second connection. A mixture formed in the ejector is supplied to the electric machine and/or another assembly to be cooled via a third connection.
