    摘要: This invention provides an optical sensing system for detecting displacements of a slidable frame along an elongated plate of the system and generating corresponding position or displacement signals. The optical sensing system comprises a housing, an elongated plate horizontally installed in the housing having a plurality of positioning holes and a plurality of parallel conductors installed in it, a slidable frame having a sliding hole in its middle for slidably engaging the elongated plate, an optical sensor installed in the frame and slidably wired to the parallel conductors of the elongated plate for detecting the positioning holes of the elongated plate and generating corresponding sensing signals, and a control circuit wired to the parallel conductors of the elongated plate for converting the sensing signals into corresponding position signals or displacement signals.

    摘要: A signal outputting device of optical ruler is disclosed. It includes a first guide seat formed with an internal axial chamber for receiving a reflecting plate therein, a second guide seat including a slide block axially movable within the chamber and a resilient lever having a fixed end disposed on the slide block, and a sensor disposed on outer side of the slide block. An inner side of the sensor abuts against a free end of the resilient lever. The slide block is disposed with two first stopper sections spaced from each other by a certain distance. The sensor is positioned between the first stopper sections. A section of the sensor, which contacts with the free end of the resilient lever, is formed with a guide channel axially parallel to the moving direction of the slide block. In the case of change of the distance between the first and second guide seats, the accuracy of the optical ruler for measuring length will not be affected.

    摘要: The scanning unit which is movable along the scale member comprises signal-generating means, which are accommodated in one or more covering hoods. Each covering hood has an annular boundary surface facing the scale member and is provided at said boundary surface with an annular seal which consists of elastomeric material and is in sealing contact with the scale member under initial compressive stress throughout the peripheral extent of the boundary surface. The covering hood and the scale member thus define between them a measuring chamber in which the atmospheric conditions are favorable for an accurate measurement. As the scanning unit is moved along the scale member, the measuring chamber will always be disposed at a portion of the scale member in which the surface of the scale member has just been cleaned by the sliding contact between the annular seal and the scale member.

    摘要: The instrument for measuring lengths comprises a carrier, a rule secured to that carrier and provided with a scale, and an optoelectronic scanning unit comprising a scanning plate, light emitters and light receivers. The scanning unit is movable along the scale by means of an actuating member, which constitutes a feeler. Auxiliary tracks are provided for guiding the scanning unit along the scale. A part of the scanning unit is connected to the actuating member by means which are yieldable transversely to the longitudinal direction of the scale. Auxiliary tracks are provided for guiding a part of the scanning unit along the scale. The overall structure is simplified and reduced in overall size and a change of the clearance between the scanning plate and the rule is prevented in that only the scanning plate is guided in engagement with the auxiliary tracks, one of which is constituted by the rule. The light emitters and the light receivers of the scanning unit are secured to the actuating member, which is connected to the scanning plate by means which are yieldable transversely to the longitudinal direction of the scale.

    摘要: A coupling apparatus for a length measuring instrument is disclosed. The length measuring instrument includes a scale, which defines a division, and a scanning unit. The scale is connected to a first object and the scanning unit is connected to a second object movable relative to the first. The scanning unit is coupled to the second object by a coupling arrangement which is rigid in the measuring direction, and the scanning unit is guided on an auxiliary guide which functions independently of the guidance for the second object. The coupling arrangement includes a pivot joint with two degrees of rotational freedom along axes perpendicular to the measuring direction for compensation of direction errors, and a linear guide having two degrees of translatory freedom oriented perpendicularly to the measuring direction for correcting for non-parallelism between the auxiliary guide of the scanning unit and the guide of the second object.

    摘要: A displacement measuring instrument wherein the instrument comprises a main scale and a carriage movable along the main scale having thereon mounted an index scale whose graduated surface is opposed through a minute space to a graduated surface of said main scale, and a value of relative displacement between the main scale and the carriage is measured from a variation in volume of a light emitted to the main scale and the index scale and transmitted therethrough or reflected thereat due to the relative movement between the scales, is of such an arrangement that at least part of travel guide mechanisms for said carriage comprises a groove formed in the moving direction of the carriage on either the graduated surface of said main scale or the outer surface of the carriage opposed to said graduated surface and convex guide means solidly secured to the rest of the abovementioned surfaces and guided in travel by the groove. With the abovedescribed arrangement, a stabilized travel guide performance can be obtained only by use of the graduated surface of the main scale without using the side face of the main scale as the scanning reference surface of the carriage.

The bands (19, 20, 28') provide a relatively straight and smooth guiding arrangement for the scanning unit (15, 15') and they are preferably made of wear-resistant material such as steel. When the housing (11') is comprised of a plurality of housing sections (31'), the bands (19, 20, 28') are made in one piece and bridge the gap between the housing sections (31' ) without interruption.

    摘要: A displacement measuring system for measuring relative displacements between two members. The second member is free to move relative to the first member along a main guide. The first member has a scale element which tracks the main guide. The second member is coupled to a scanner which moves along its own guide (which may be constituted by the scale element itself) scanning the scale element to provide a measure of the relative displacement. The coupling is flexible in directions at right angles to the direction of relative displacement in order to compensate for tracking errors between the main guide and the scale.An embodiment in which the scale is located off the neutral axis of the scale element the coupling is flexible in a first plane on the level of the neutral axis and in a second plane which includes the longitudinal central axis of the scale and is at right angles to the first plane.
