Abstract: A camera module is provided, which includes a camera housing, a camera assembly including a lens, the camera assembly being rotatable about a first axis and a second axis substantially perpendicular to an optical axis of the lens with respect to the camera housing, and a guide plate connected to the camera assembly and the camera housing. The camera assembly further includes a first corner area and a second corner area substantially facing a direction of the first axis and facing each other, and a third corner area and a fourth corner area substantially facing the second axis and facing each other. The fourth corner area includes a chamfer area. The guide plate includes a first portion and a second portion rotatably connected to the camera assembly about the first axis, and a third portion and a fourth portion rotatably connected to the camera housing about the second axis.

Abstract: Some embodiments include a camera voice coil motor (VCM) actuator that includes an additive coil structure for shifting a lens along one or multiple axes. The additive coil structure may include a base portion configured to couple with a lens carrier and at least partially surround a perimeter of the lens carrier. In various examples, the additive coil structure may include folded portions that individually include a respective coil that is located proximate a respective magnet. According to various embodiments, the additive coil structure may be formed using an additive process.

Abstract: Provided is a lens drive including: a housing; a focus adjustment mechanism including a lens assembly having an optical axis and a fixing member fixed to the housing, the lens assembly is movably connected to the fixing member, and the lens assembly includes at least one lens piece movable along an optical axis; an anti-shake mechanism including a bottom plate fixed on the housing and an image sensor module movable relative to the bottom plate in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis; and a shock absorbing gel provided between the fixing member and the image sensor module. The shock absorbing gel can absorb the interaction force between the anti-shake mechanism and the focus adjustment mechanism when the lens drive is impacted by the external environment, thereby reducing the possibility of damage to the components in the lens drive.

Abstract: An optical element can be adjusted using a displacement element in an actuator assembly. The actuator assembly includes a plurality of lead screws and a mechanical linkage configured to simultaneously rotate the lead screws. The actuator assembly further includes a displacement element configured to act upon the optical element, through translational motion of the displacement element in response to rotation of the lead screws. Multiple optical elements can be adjusted simultaneously using respective displacement elements. In some embodiments, a controller determines a target position for at least one displacement element, where the target position is configured to provide a desired optical characteristic such as an optical power. The controller can apply power to the actuator to move the at least one displacement element. The controller can also shut off power upon detecting that the at least one displacement element has reached the target position or an end-of-travel position.
