The target shape includes, for each of the harmonics of the plurality of the harmonics, a gain value as a function of the RPM of the engine. The method also includes determining an accelerator pedal position (APP) based gain that includes a gain value as a function of an accelerator pedal position; and determining a speed based gain that includes a gain value as a function of a difference between a set maximum speed and a measured vehicle speed. The method further includes combining the plurality of harmonics, the target shape of the plurality of harmonics, the APP based gain, and the speed based gain to produce a set of engine harmonic enhancement signals.

A controller makes a setting such that the parameters in the registration data set are used in response to an instruction for reading out the registration data set, and makes a setting such that at least one or some of the tone setting parameters in the one set of registration data are used at delayed readout timing later than a time point at which the instruction has been issued. Thus, two or more sub-sets of the parameters in the registration data set can be set to be used at mutually different timing. Namely, a sub-set of the parameters can be set to be used at delayed readout timing later than a time at which a readout instruction has been issued.

    摘要: An audio processing system may selectively identify certain environmental sounds and playing back these sounds, or a representation of these sounds, in the vehicle's cabin. The audio processing system may filter the environmental sounds to identify a particular sound that matches an event such as a bouncing ball, squealing tires, footsteps, and the like. The audio processing system may then provide an audio alert to an occupant in the vehicle. For example, the system may process the identified sound (e.g., amplify and/or isolate the sound) and use a speaker to output the processed sound into the interior of the vehicle. In another embodiment, the audio processing system may use environmental sounds as an audio masking sound for creating privacy zones within the vehicle. The audio processing system may filter the environmental sounds to identify a continuous sound which is then output to generate the privacy zones.

An instant magnitude and an instant phase are determined for each of N harmonics of a target engine sound based on the RPM signal. The instant magnitude and the instant phase are each smoothed to generate a smoothed harmonic magnitude and a smoothed harmonic phase for each of the N harmonics. A magnitude perturbation signal and a phase perturbation signal are generated for each of the N harmonics. An individual harmonic signal is also generated for each of the N harmonics based, at least in part, on the smoothed harmonic magnitude, the magnitude perturbation signal, the smoothed harmonic phase, and the phase perturbation signal. The individual harmonic signals are summed to generate an engine harmonic enhancement signal, and the engine harmonic enhancement signal is transduced to acoustic energy.
