摘要: Systems and techniques are provided for audio synchronization and delay estimation. Audio metadata including a first discrete Fourier transform representation may be received. An audio signal may be pre-processed. A second discrete Fourier transform representation may be generated from the pre-processed audio signal. A correlation result in a discrete Fourier transform representation may be generated based on an element-wise multiplication of the first and second discrete Fourier transform representations. An inverse Fourier transform may be performed on the correlation result in a discrete Fourier transform representation to generate a correlated signal including samples that may have a position and a value. A relative delay value may be determined based on the position of a sample having a value with the greatest magnitude. Playback of a second audio signal may be adjusted based on a current delay value adjusted based on the relative delay value.

摘要: Techniques described herein may involve dynamically adjusting the equalization of multiple speakers in a playback device. An example implementation involves a playback device emitting, via a speaker, a first audio signal. While emitting the first audio signal, the playback device detects, via a microphone, data representing a second audio signal, the second audio signal comprising one or more reflections of the first audio signal as emitted by the speaker within a surrounding environment. The playback device determines a frequency response curve based on the second audio signal, the frequency response curve representing acoustic characteristics of a system comprising the playback device and the surrounding environment. The playback device determines filter coefficients based on a difference between the determined frequency response curve and a target frequency response curve, and applies the filter coefficients to one or more filters during playback of audio content by the playback device.

摘要: Examples involve calibration of two synchronous playback groups. In an example implementation, a first playback device forms a first group with a second playback device. While formed into the first group, the first playback device plays back a first calibration sound contemporaneously with the second playback device. The first playback device forms a second group with a third playback device. While formed into the second group, the first playback device repeatedly plays back a second calibration sound contemporaneously with the third playback device. The first playback device receives data representing (i) first audio processing coefficients and (ii) second audio processing coefficients. The first playback devices applies the first audio processing coefficients to playback of audio content when formed into the first group and the second audio processing coefficients to playback of audio content when formed into the second group.

摘要: Examples described herein involve validating motion of a microphone during calibration of a playback device. An example implementation involves a control device receiving an indication that the control device will begin detecting audio signals emitted from playback devices as part of a calibration process. While the control device is detecting audio signals emitted from the playback devices, the control device receives a stream of motion data indicating movement of the control device. The control device processes a first subset of the stream of motion data to determine that the first subset of the stream of motion data indicates sufficient horizontal translation of the control device occurred. Based on determining that the first subset of the stream of motion data indicates sufficient horizontal translation of the control device, the control device processes a second subset of the stream of motion data.

摘要: A method for using a loudspeaker array that is housed in a loudspeaker cabinet to present audio content to a listener in a room includes receiving (1) an audio channel that includes audio content and (2) acoustical characteristics of the room. The method also produces (1) a first beamformer input signal from the audio channel and (2) a second beamformer input signal and a third beamformer input signal by decorrelating the audio channel and adjusting the audio channel in accordance with the acoustical characteristics of the room. The second and third beamformer input signals are different de-correlated versions of the audio channel. The method also generates driver signals from the first, second, and third beamformer input signals to drive the loudspeaker array to produce a main beam, a first ambient beam, and a second ambient beam, respectively. The method further includes determining mono and side responses and designing mono and side compensation filters, and, during playback, applying the mono compensation filter to a mono signal based on the left and right input signals, and applying the side compensation filter to a side signal based on the left and right input signals. The filters are thus combined to provide left and right output signals which have been left/right filtered and mono/side filtered.

In embodiments, an apparatus may include a microphone associated with a first audio channel of a plurality of audio channels and a radio receiver associated with a second different audio channel of the plurality of audio channels. The apparatus may include one or more processors, devices, and/or circuitry to identify an amount of time between times of receipt of first and second representations of a signal received via the microphone over the first audio channel and via the radio receiver over the second audio channel, respectively. The amount of time may be usable to identify a physical distance between references associated with a remote source of the first and second representations and the apparatus, respectively.
