    摘要: A rotatable torque adjusting device which is incorporated in a rotation tool for adjusting output torque of the rotation tool is disclosed. The rotation tool has a front end surface on which a support cylinder is provided to rotatably support an output shaft which provides the output torque. Cavities are provided on the front end surface and surround the support cylinder to each receive a spherical member which applies a force to a rotating disk inside the rotation tool to adjust the output torque. The torque adjusting device includes a cam ring rotatably fit over the support cylinder, having a plurality of circumferentially-extending arc-shaped camming projections, each defining a cam. A follower ring non-rotatably fit over the support cylinder, having camming projections, each defining a follower engageable with the respective cam of the cam ring which converts a relative rotation therebetween into an axial movement of the cam ring. A biasing device is arranged between the cam ring and the spherical members for applying a force to the spherical member caused by the axial movement of the cam ring. A cap is fit over the cam ring, the follower ring and the biasing means in such a way to rotatably couple to the cam ring and axially movably fix the follower ring so that by manually rotating the cap, a relative rotation is caused between the cam ring and the follower ring which in turn axially moves the cam ring to apply the force to the spherical members.

    摘要: A drive collet assembly for an internal thread producing tap. The collet includes a collar that is attached to the stem of the tap using set screws. The collar is received into a recess of the body portion of a drive collet and retained therein using a spring clip. A smaller diameter aperture extends into the body portion above the recess, the aperture receiving a portion of the stem of the tap, the portion has a pair of opposed flats thereon. At least two laterally extending threaded apertures intersect the smaller diameter aperture and each receive a rigid button, a flexible element and a set screw. The set screw can be adjusted to provide a desired breakaway torque which will protect the tap from breakage should an over-torque condition occur. The flexible element will allow the rigid buttons to be forced outwardly so that the drive collet assembly spins freely about the jammed tap, rather than twisting it off. Reversing the direction of the drive will break off the chip or burr or clear the tip of the tap from touching the bottom of the hole and allow the tap to be rotated out of the hole.

    摘要: Disclosed is a torque-adjustment controller for use with a tool to safely adjust and control the torque the tool works on a workpiece. The torque-adjustment controller mainly consists of a housing, an output shaft, an input shaft, a stepped ring, a lugged movable member contacting the stepped ring, a torque spring disposed between the output and the input shafts. The output shaft has recesses to engage with steel balls contained on the input shaft so that force exerted on the input shaft by a tool may be transmitted to the output shaft via the engagement of the steel balls with the recesses of the output shaft. The stepped ring has multiple sets of steps providing different head drops and will cause the lugged movable member contacting it to shift axially when the stepped ring is rotated. The axially shifted movable member will further compress the torque spring to generate stronger torque or release the torque spring for the same to generate weaker torque. Such adjusted torque is transmitted from the input shaft to the output shaft to work on a workpiece to safely protect the latter from being damaged due to improper torque of tool.

    摘要: A hand tool can remove burrs from an aperture in a workpiece. The tool has a hollow handle and a shaft rotatably mounted in the handle to reciprocate axially therein. The tool has a thruster for urging the shaft to extend axially. A rider is mounted in the handle for engaging and rotating the shaft as it extends axially from the handle. This rider can allow axial retraction of the shaft into the handle without rotation. A deburring bit (e.g. a countersink bit) is mounted at an outer end of the shaft. Thus the bit turns when the shaft extends as the handle withdraws from the workpiece.
