摘要: A regenerative filter that includes a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones; a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones; a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path; and a tube sheet that is supported across the filter housing, that is disposed just before the outlet zone and that provides the support for the plurality of filter elements. The plurality of filter elements are disposed in an array and includes bridging members or elements that connect between adjacent filter elements, and that forms with the filter elements, a closed interstitial space between adjacent filter elements for liquid flow; a nanoscale barrier on interior surfaces, including that of the regenerative media itself, providing a mechanism to disrupt the cell wall of microscopic viruses and organisms.

摘要: A suction adapter for filtration systems is disclosed. The suction adapter is useful for filtration systems in which there are screen regions unapproachable by intake openings of nozzles of the suction scanner, such as the case with pleated screens. The suction adapter comprises a partitioning adapted to match within a space-extension of a predetermined size and shape, whereby being useful for tunneling a suction power from an intake opening of the suction scanner to a screen region unapproachable by the intake opening. A method for cleaning a filtration screen having screen regions gapped from a closest approach of an intake opening of a suction scanner is disclosed. The method comprises providing immovable tunneling means between the screen regions and a location of the closest approach, whereby tunneling a suction power of the suction scanner to respective spots on the screen regions when closely approached, respectively, by the intake opening.

摘要: An apparatus for filtering water includes a tubular housing defining a housing interior for holding a filter cartridge that radially divides the housing interior into a feed zone and a filtrate zone. The housing interior extends vertically from a bottom end to an upper end defining an upper end opening that is sized to allow the filter cartridge to be inserted into and removed from the housing interior. A lid is removably attached in sealing relationship to the housing top end to prevent water flow out of the housing interior via the housing top end opening. A distributor, attached in sealing relationship to the housing bottom end, has an inflow passage for directing water flow into the feed zone of the housing interior, and an outflow passage for directing water flow out of the filtrate zone of the housing interior, and into a tank storing a granular filtration medium.

The installation of the filter element and the shell housing into the filtration system results in the bidirectional pin entering a pin aperture of the removable no filter no run attachment and the bidirectional pin preventing the operative engagement of a blocking element with a divider inside the no filter no run attachment.

摘要: The invention relates to container bodies configured to be used in filter-as-you-pour systems, where filtering is achieved as the user pours water from the container. Such container bodies may have an undivided internal storage volume, so as to not include a reservoir compartment for unfiltered water. They may be part of systems configured to filter water both as water is introduced into a container body of the system and as water is poured from the container body of the system. The filter assembly may be attached to the container body at a location proximate the outlet of the system. Filter media of the filter assembly may comprise an activated carbon textile material that presents a curved surface to water passing through the filter assembly. The container body may be configured as a pitcher, carafe, water bottle, jug, or other shaped container.
