摘要： The present application provides an aft plate removal tool for servicing a combustor. The combustor includes an aft plate with a central passage and a number of tubes extending through the aft plate. The aft plate removal tool includes a central screw, a lower housing attached to the central screw, the lower housing including a number of spring loaded lower housing feet, and an upper housing attached to the center screw, the upper housing including a number of spring loaded upper housing feet. The aft plate removal tool is inserted through the central passage of the aft plate such that rotation of the upper housing advances the spring loaded upper housing feet against the aft plate until the spring loaded upper housing feet push the aft plate off of the tubes.

摘要： A pipe flange is leveled for welding by using stainless steel using ball bearings attached to a U-shaped spring-loaded wire so a fitter is able to level a flange for welding while the wire supports a level. The ball bearings are part of a first leveling unit and a second leveling unit which comprise a flange leveling system. The spring acts to bias a first leg and a second leg of the leveling units such that the distal ends of both legs are biased toward each other. The ball bearings are axially co-linear with each other and are sized to be seated in bolt holes defined in the first and second sides of the pipe flange. A related process is also disclosed wherein the flange is adjusted until the associated flange holes on the first and second sides of the pipe flange are level with each other.

摘要： An alignment tool (1) for aligning a bore (13) extending through a first structural member (14) with a bore (19) extending through a second structural member (15) is disclosed. The alignment tool (1) comprises two shaft portions (2, 3) having a cylindrical or cylindrical like configuration. The second shaft portion (3) is arranged adjacent to the first shaft portion (2). A portion of the second surface forms a continuation of a portion of the first surface. A first bushing (8) is arranged along the first shaft portion (2) and substantially covering the first surface, and a second bushing (9) is arranged along the second shaft portion (3) and substantially covering the second surface. Mutual rotational movements are allowed between the first shaft portion (2) and the first bushing (8) and between the second shaft portion (3) and the second bushing (9).

摘要： A method enabling two holes belonging to two parts to be aligned relies on use of a tool, comprising a body, having a first outer surface which gradually wanders from a longitudinal axis of the body as it extends from a first end of the body, and a hollow part having a second outer surface with a complementary section to the section of the holes. The hollow part comprises a hole through which it is removably mounted on the tool so that the second outer surface extends the first outer surface on an opposite side to the first end of the body. The method comprises inserting the first end of the body into the first hole, and then operating the tool to push the body and then the hollow part together into the holes. This method especially applies to the assembly of a floor module to an aircraft fuselage.

摘要： A tool aligns a snap-ring with a sink-flange tailpiece of a garbage disposal, and is used to slide the ring up along the tailpiece outer surface to a groove. The tool expands the snap-ring, prior to installation on the tailpiece, by an expansion mechanism, to a diameter that is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the tailpiece. The tool receives a stack of conventional disposal components on the tool top end, so the user with one hand can raise the tool and the stack to the tailpiece, and the fingers and thumb of the one hand can push the expanded snap-ring upward to reach and snap into the groove. The expansion mechanism may be a tapered tool bottom end, an expander tab, and/or an adaptation wherein the tool is reduced in diameter to fit inside a relaxed snap-ring and then increased in diameter to expand the snap-ring.

摘要： A coupling bolt hole alignment tool, a method to align two coupling holes, one in each of two coupling halves, and a system to align two coupling holes are provided. The coupling bolt hole alignment tool and system includes an expandable sleeve assembly configured to be inserted into the second coupling hole and secured into the second coupling hole with a wedge nut. A rotatable rod including an eccentric hole formed in one end of the rod is contained within the expandable sleeve assembly. A pin/paw assembly includes a pin and paw. The pin is inserted into the eccentric hole from the first coupling hole and the paw is disposed within the first coupling hole and includes a portion oriented against a wall of the first coupling hole. Rotation of the rotatable rod while the pin/paw assembly is held stationary by a restraining device aligns the two coupling holes.

摘要： A gasket retaining apparatus and a method which uses the apparatus to install a gasket between a pair of flanges. The retaining apparatus includes a gasket holding element which is temporarily secured between the flanges while joining the flanges together. A gasket groove is formed in the forward edge of the gasket holding element and one or more bolting slots extend into the body of the holding element from the forward edge. The gasket holding element preferably also includes a pair of retention holes so that a pair of releasable locking pins can be inserted through a pair of the bolt holes of one of the flanges and into the retention holes to temporarily secure the gasket holding element during the installation process.

摘要： A pipe flange spreading tool is disclosed. The pipe flange spreading tool includes a pair of wedges and a retainer strap. Each of the wedges has a tapered end, and the tapered end is configured to be forced between two pipe flanges of a pipeline to separate the pipe flanges of the pipeline.
